Once April Comes we will have a better idea of who is going, and we can better decide the trails to run to cater to the different rigs,a day trip to Bronco(or not) and so on.
So who already booked a room or at least plans on camping or staying somewhere? I still need to book a room somewhere.

Man, I wish I could commit but I've been off on STD since October (not THAT STD!) so when I get back to work it might be iffy to get Memorial Day weekend and my required following weekend off for the Elko Mining Expo. I'm working hard on getting the rig ready though (with help), in case I can make it. Ah hell, I'll just retire April 1 and bring my first SS check along for fun money. It's not out of the realm of possibility.
I could stay at a hotel or bring the overhead camper and RV it in Fernley or an RV park someone might recommend in Sparks or such.. depending on where the bulk of the wheeling might happen. All I know is I'd like to wheel with Eric if my rig is up to it.. after all, I'm running his diffs and his book is my 'go-to' reference. And he's the only one of your gang I've met in person. I'm sure you're all a barrel of laughs, but you know what I mean.
Are you having a 'Prettiest XJ' contest.. LOL!

I've been looking but most places want at least 15 rooms booked at one block and it's a holiday weekend as well so that complicates things a bit due to less availability and higher prices.
Can we post up a headcount for who for sure needs a hotel room ?

I will definitely be going but not sure if I will be camping or hoteling. If Mrs Smasho comes then I will likely be hoteling. If its just me Ill be camping in the jeep.

If you can't make the Reno Run, come down for Sierra Fest. It is a long drive for you but there are guys driving down from Washington and up from SoCal so you aren't alone. Even if you only make the Deer Valley / Slick Rock portions it will be worth the trip.

So if you cant make the reno run (due to rig being down) then get down here in your DD and just ride along and watch, take pics, and ride along in other rigs.
First off, its still fun. I did that exact thing in Moab. Second, you get lots of pics and get an idea for trails. Third, someone will let you drive their rig possibly, so there you go. Go anyway.

so I cant get any sort od special rates with just 4 rooms, I think the minimums are 15, and it might increase due to being a holiday weekend. If we cant get another 11+ folks that need a room we will all probably be on our own to coordinate rooms.
