Thanks for all the encouraging words you guys. I'm really excited about this. I've set the start-up for Sunday the 28th at 3pm. This will give me time to finish up the last things on the list. If anyone comes across a turbo diesel gauge setup let me know, I want to take the boost gauge out and put it in my cluster.
As far as the turbo goes, this is one snippet what I was able to find floating in the EVO community online:
Evolution 8
p/n = 49378-01520 (GSR)
p/n = 49378-01540 (ADM EVO8 single flapper)
Turbo = TD05HR-16G6-9.8T (GSR / USDM / ADM)
Turbo = TD05HRA-16G6-9.8T (RS/RS2 & NZDM)
Nozzle Area (cm2) = 9.8
TD05HR turbine = USDM EVO 8 & JDM GSR =Inconel (steel alloy),
TD05HRA turbine = RS Titanium alloy.
Compressor 16G6 = Aluminium
Inducer = 48.3mm
Exducer = 68mm
Turbine housing = twin flapper USDM

Google has all kinds of specs and comparisons, but I can provide some rough outside dimensions from my setup as well at some point. Really you just need to get your hands on one. Step one, take the turbo and hold it where you want it in the engine bay. Step two, build the manifold to the turbo. Done. It's that easy. *smirk*
According to the EVO forums guys seem to be making over 300 hp on 2.0 to 2.4L engines. If I see 230 whp on the BL dynojet I'll be happy...for just starting. Don't want to break all the drivetrain components just yet.
