I don't know if TV counts, but the recent series, "Terminator, Sarah Conner Chronicles" blew up a jeep, with the hot Terminator Babe in it. THey been driving jeeps since the series started. Same goes for the "Dead Zone" and "Ghost Whisperer".

The poor beast that gets crammed through a wall in "Gone in 60 seconds".

The Jeep blown up in "Terminator" was a Wrangler, but they rolled a silver Cherokee in the next episode, and "Sarah" stole another one in one of the earlier episodes.

In the New Fast and the Furious, there is a chopped XJ with round headlights in it. If you watch the movie you will see it when they go to the church.

Cast Away's opening sequence was set in a time about a year or two prior to the appearence of what looked to be a later model XJ Limited. I guess Hollywood types don't see the anachronisms they sell to us. Like in a street scene in American Graffiti, set in 1962, where they drive past a '68 Caprice.
