why doesn't the naxja.org page show as it used to?

when I go to naxja.org main page, It no longer shows me the most recent threads like it used to. just basic stuff with no recent threads, but I still get polls on the left. is this a problem on my end, or on naxja's end? just a change in software?

Its been that way for a while and I too miss the most recent 5 posts.........gives your new post a better chance to be answered.

Not my thing to fix it, but I would like to see it back to how it was.

The feature was removed in August due to the number of unacceptable spam threads that would show up on the home page.

oh. that's pretty inconvenient. there was no way to remove such threads faster?

I only think that I saw those spam threads 3 or 4 times and I check most every day, multiple times a day.:variety:

I remember our secretary seeing some chick bent over gettin it on my naxja home page, how embarrassing.

they were removed as fast as possible, but someone has to physically remove it when it is reported as a bad post. its better this way, just accept it

At the top of the spam invasion, there were 20+ porn spams a day. The board upgrade allowed me to add a few features to defeat most of the spammers from registering. Even if they get registered successfully now, there are more features to prevent posts from immediately appearing.

Unfortunately, there are still a few sleeper accounts out there. Until we get a little farther down the road, the thread feature on the homepage will remain off.

I've got my bookmark set to go straight to the forums. I don't even know when the last time I looked at the main page was.....

It's pretty simple to hit the "New Posts" button at the top of the page once you get in the forums. What's so hard about that?
