Which locker should i get?

If the teeth are rounded in any way, it's pretty much shot.

I broke the cross shaft in my Toyota's, replaced the shaft, new pins and springs and it did exactly as you're describing.....teeth were rounded.

Threw it away and bought a Spartan (still in the box under my coffee table)

You could switch the drivers from side to side but, then It'll act up in reverse.

Hans thank you for that.
Well i guess i will have to install a new locker and see what the old one looks like. It's just a disappointment that someone would re sell the one i bought when i am sure they new it was bad.
My installer put new pins in when he installed them so i know its not the pins. This locker was acting up from day 1, making so much noise.

So with 33" tires i shouldn't be able to make the locker slip that easy?

looks like my old lock right did, perhaps that's what it is?
i dont remember any noises in particular, mine was relatively quiet.

For just a little more strength, the Detroit Locker is my favorite. I have installed 3 in different Jeeps, and they have never broken. With a Detroit Locker, you get to replace the stock carrier, and that is an upgrade. IMHO you just never regret paying for quality, and the Detroit Locker is one of the best.

Or the grizzly for about 100$ less. But that take a bit od gear setup. Another insert doesnt.
