I would not recommend the Bushwacker flares I have pulled this off a few times and am switching to Rusty's or Hooligans metal flat fender kit so i don't have to worry about it any more...

Long day yesterday - CMA Awards were in town. I started the day at 5:45 am getting the kids up and ready for school and finally crawled into bed at 4:45 am this morning. Nothing like a 23 hour day to wipe you out. I didn't do a lot of driving, but the sitting around wears on you. It was a fun night though. I saw a bunch of stars and spent a couple hours at Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert's after party.

I've beat the crap out of my bushwhacker flat flares. I'm surprised you have issues, it doesn't look like much body damage on your xj.

I used to rest my xj on trees using my bushwacker fender flares and never crack one. They are pretty stout considering they are composite.

I think I've finally managed to tear both MCL's in my knees, and even though my supervisor said "no more overtime" on Wednesday, I had to work Saturday. So I basically did nothing but lie on the couch all day today and watched the tube. I WAS planning to start installing my frame stiffeners and raise my fuel tank. Hopefully I'll get on that soon. I can't stand lying around like a gimp. Getting old sucks.... :smsoap:

I just got over that mess with my right knee, I know the feeling. I invaded the SEC for the flog over the weekend. I'll definitely be back to Windrock!

I worked. Again. Spent about 30 minutes in a bun proofer clearing a pan jam and fixing a broken grid. The proofer is at 90-95* and 95% humidity so that was a good time.

Oh yeah. And Friday I passed my "D class" certification at work. Now I am official Engineering Technician. Go me.
