Weekend is over...what did you get done?

I am. Not Far East though. Google says I'm less than an hour and a half from Troy. That's about what I drive to go see Sean, Justin, or Nate so that's not too far to go to see my Naxja fam :)

$42.79

Of course that is just the main pipes. Muffler and cat will be slightly more if you do them too. :)
I've got the pipe from rustys sitting on my garage floor. Again.

I want a new downpipe but don't want the walker one with crush bends and dont trust a local shop to bend me one up that fits good enough.

Find one you do. Piecing exhaust together sucks.

The best exhaust shop in knoxville is way out in the hood, worth the drive

Yeah, I have one in mind, but I will just need the time to go.

Still need to decide what set up I want to run. A couple of guys in my club run a small resonator from a Mustang or Charger and it sounds damn good behind a 4.0. I just havent had luck with a big bulky FM and the Cherry Bomb sounded like diarrhea.

I also need to do something about the heat. Probably add some heat shield to the bottom of the floor pans with some small screws.

It is sad. He was the human shuffle button.

Not yet, but I plan on getting some. I was thinking about those hyline ones on eBay or doing a hood spacer like that. Not sure how I feel about that look yet though, but it is much cheaper... I need some more money.

Re: Re: Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Went and looked at this for my dad two months ago:

2000 B3000 (Ford Ranger). 3.0 V6, 2wd, manual trans. 206K on the clock. Got it for $1800 because it was "totalled" by a hail storm. Just a couple dings on the hood really. Problem is, the title needed to be changed to a salvaged title as a result, and we bought it from SC...so we're dealing with a state we don't even live in.

Fast forward two months to Monday of this week. At this point, the truck is in my possession (pic above at my house), the money in the PO's, with everything in writing stating that we are just waiting on the title to come back from SCDMV (TWO MONTHS!!!) so we can meet once more and make completely official. PO e-mails me on Monday that his insurance guy (located in Indiana for some reason) received the title from SCDMV finally, and will be 2nd Airing it via UPS to the PO. Fantastic! Or so I thought... E-mailed the PO yesterday morning to make sure the title arrived, as we were planning to meet on Sunday afternoon. The key word in that last sentence is "were." Turns out, UPS lost the freakin envelope! So now, they've "opened an investigation" to see if they can find it. $20 says we'll never see that title. At this point i'm about to tell my dad to file for a lost title on it so we can get the damn thing legally in our possession and move on. Could have probably done that from the start and been done over a month ago.

Murphy's Law strikes again!
And now, while I was gone for work between yesterday and today, someone came along and hit it for me...

Dang that sucks, man! If it makes you feel any better I think we've all been where you are; with a car/truck that no matter how much love you give it, it always laughs in your face then kicks you in the nuts for the 10th time in a row. Good luck on it, and just keep in mind that one day it'll all either be straightened out and all will be well, or you'll get the satisfaction of dousing it with gas and setting it on fire lol

Yeah. I think its time to kick the P.O.'s ass into gear and make him apply for a lost title. Otherwise we'll be waiting on ups for the rest of our lives..

My ignition lock cylinder about left me stranded the other day, so today I replaced it with a new one that I re tumbled (I guess that's the term) to fit my stupid transponder key. Now I realize that locksmiths, as patient as they are, get paid too much for this type of thing. Unless of course there's some other type of black magic that other locks have.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1408133344.827832.jpg

I picked this up last week at an auction for $1200. It needs a little tlc but so far has been a decent dd.

Got the suspension up front rebuilt and trimmed back my fenders. Yep, I finally gave in. The JCR rear quarter panel guards with the integrated light boxes should be at the house by Tuesday. Once I get them drilled and temporarily installed I'll do the rear wheel arch cut and fold, then pull the JCR guards for paint and final install.

Also, I cut a small slit in a sidewall the last time I was out. I think I might just get a tube for it and run it that way. I've read up on that a little and people say that one of the issues of an inner tube is that at low pressure off road that the tire could slip on the bead and that the tube can move around to where it could snap off the valve stem. Is that for real or just internet crapola?

Oh, and regarding paint, the JCR guard will have the rub rail on it, so I think I may paint the panel Silverstone Metallic to match the truck, then paint just the rub rail black.

Went on the yearly night ride at Hale Mtn OHV Park. Had fun and made it up some obstacles that I wasn't sure I could do. Dented the heck out of a rim and broke a shock mount. Rewelded the shock mount today and running on my spare till I figure if I can beat my rim back round or if I need to buy another Cragar Soft 8 15"

The waterfall at Hale Mountain. We had a good group of rigs but only 5 of us made it up this. It was fun and got some XJ props out of it.
