I put in balance beads tonight. I used about 7 oz in each tire. I took a quick 2 mile drive at 70 mph and it feels better. We'll see over time.

Ho bags balls?
Ho bags balls?
Nope. He isn't carrying them anymore. I used Daisy Zinc Plated BBs.
Great to hear Mike.
I pulled my Jeep's engine this afternoon. Going to start a rebuild this week. Just need to sell a bunch of parts...
Going for basic rebuild?
I spent two days piecing my z71 4l60e back together. This time with z-Pack 3-4 clutch pack, new seals throughout, transgo shift kit, and corvette servo. Excited to get this thing back on the road so I can park the XJ for a while.
Fingers are crossed to just do a re ring kit, but it could turn into something more.

If you give a mouse a re-ring hes going to want pistons, if he gets pistons hell want an overbore, if he does the overbore he wants to go ahead and do a 4.2 crank and rods, if you give him the new rotating assembly hes going to want a cam, and before you know it its a stroker and your wallet is 3k lighter
That's about the cost of a 5.3 swap nowadays.
What were your compression readings? How many miles are on the engine?
I bet most of the smoke screen is from leaking valve stem seals. Make sure you have the hear reworked while it's off.
That's the same direction I was headed. Just wanted to be sure he checked the compression and did a leakdown test. New valve seals have cured two of my 4.0's smokescreen issues.
