Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Well looks like I may or may not be trading off my Xj tomorrow for a car. As far as today goes I went to the white water center and did some trail riding. managed to sprain the hell out of my leg but its all in good fun.

Don't make me come down there and knock some sense into you....

Doug more info on the brackets and tabs you used.

7/8 lower 3/4 upper? What cross member does he run? You stick with the usual 7" or separation on the axle?

i used ruffstuff lower coil/link brackets and 1.25" heims in the lowers. the axle tower is a barnes 4wd piece and 3/4 heims in the upper. The crossmember im not really sure what it started life as but it is an aftermarket replacement that has been beefed up at all mounting points. the homemade lower brackets on it originally held the re-tubed ford radius arms so the whole setup was more than strong enough. I just slapped some opened up bok tubing on top of it for the upper mount. im going to just cut my own brackets for the panhard and the assist mount since they were originally custom pieces as well

oh yeah all the heims were ruffstuff too....all the links are .25" wall dom

This years calendar looks pretty sweet too. Some lucky SOB won the all white blaster at the Daytona Freeride. If only she came with the ski...

Well getting to my flywheel took no time at all. Now I'm just stuck waiting for an extra pair of hands to hoist the trans/case back in place. Drivetrain Jenga at its finest. If I had purchased a trans jack 2 years ago it would have more than paid itself off by now.

Went on a date afternoon with my wife on Saturday. Ate a All American Patty Melt at Red Robin (Eddddddd Robbins.....yummmmm). Went at saw "The Last Stand" with Arnold. Really good movie. Lots of guns, explosions, fast cars and wrecks. That makes a good movie in my book.

Sunday after church, I ran to a friends house and got a radio put in my DD car. It took a while to figure our how all the dash came apart. We got the radio in and I got to enjoy some tunes on my way home. Now my hour commutes to and from work will be a little less boring.

Me and the family attended CFW 2013. We had a blast!

All I can say is more of you guys should attend this thing. It's gorgeous mountains, fun roads, awesome food, great folks and scenic trails.

Can't wait till next year!

Friend of mine coined the phrase "Funny boobie action movie" to determine if a movie is good.

Does it have good jokes?
Are there naked women in it?
It there and extended fight or car chase scene?

If so, it qualifies as a "funny boobie action movie" and is listed as GOOD!

Went to Myrtle had some fun and drank some beer..... If you go to Myrtle Beach, SC get your beer at the Piggly Wiggly in Market Commons. They even sold growlers there. Best beer selection in a grocery store i have ever seen.

Yeah, we have a Pig in Greenwood.

Awesome selection.

I love that they carry mini keg's of New Castle.

Its not on its lid, that's an improvement in itself :D

Hey!!!!

The crossmember im not really sure what it started life as but it is an aftermarket replacement that has been beefed up at all mounting points. the homemade lower brackets on it originally held the re-tubed ford radius arms so the whole setup was more than strong enough.

The crossmember started life as a rusty's thin/drop crossmember. I think the only thing left Rusty's was the centerpiece where the tranny bolts on. The "frame" has 3/16 angle welded on as a stiffener and there are grade 8 1/2" nuts welded to the top as "nutsets" holding the thing on. It's a total of 3 grade 8 per side and 2 original bolts. There is also a little steel tab welded on the stiffeners as a "stopper" to keep the crossmember from sliding. Also this kept the bolts from sheering.
