Thanks! Just called him and he still has it and from what it sounds like it is a sweet deal if I can get a head from the local pull-a-part. He said he had about 15 other emails about it so it won't be there long! My cousin and his Dad are talking about it tonight and depending on the answer he gets we may be going to get it saturday with my trailer.

It looks like a killer deal. Worst case... it needs an JY engine. (200 bucks)

Well we got it! it is VERY clean! I little tearing on the side of the seat and the headliner is beginning to fall right above the drivers head. The center console is a little loose but probably just needs to be tightened down. Some things the guy left out are the clock spring is bad, airbag light, no cruise, no horn, so that will need to be replaced. The tires are pretty worn out and they are heavily worn on the outside edge and the inside edge on all four tires has more tread left than the outside edge. Shows he rotated the tires a good amount since they are all the same but the tread wear indicates there is a problem. I am thinking ball-joints. There is a little clear coat peeling on the top of the driver side fender but it wasn't much. Seriously though, this is me TRYING to find problems haha. I couldn't see a crack in the head or notice any gasket leaking. But everytime I see a thread about head cracking the crack it usually under the valve cover. My Granddad is having a hard time believing the head is cracked or the the gasket is bad if all the Jeep is doing is overheating. So he is going to tinker with it and do a compression test. I priced a new head at $379.99 from O'Reily's and that was much more than we would like to spend so we are going to try and find a used head at pull-a-part and see about maybe getting it rebuilt by a guy my Granddad knows.
It will some time before we all have time to get together to turn some wrenches on this bad boy but it will be back to turning rubber soon!

Broke a d30 r&p today....drove home like a badass too. I'm not bent about it PO's gear setup wasn't the greatest, I think deflection finally got her. Sam has commanded cryo treatment on her next set, which might be getting ordered shortly. Other than that it was a swell day of wheelin

Went up to my buddy's house in the mountains to get away for a weekend with a group of friends. Didn't do much other than stuff my face full of awesome food and watch a lot of football. In other words, absolutely nothing was accomplished this weekend...but i'm completely fine with that!

That's Travis. A guy from Griffin GA. It's a nice rig. It did great considering it's open in the front and limited slip in the back. Really impressed me.
