Weekend is over...what did you get done?

So, how rare are these things? I know they wont support a huge wheel but I think it'll hold my 31s ok. I got all the support brackets to go with it.

This is the first one I've seen in person...

Now I just need a matching spare. Lol

I don't think steering columns are rare at all. :dunno:

headed to knoxville for the game and booms day firewowrks! GO VOLSS!!!!

Swapped ball joints today. Got the knuckle back on the drivers side, and the Jeep is on all 4 tires for the first time in just over 3 weeks.

Now, all I need is an adjustable track bar and to fill the diff with fluid and I can drive it again!

ive got one... just been on my daily driver... its the one with the stock tie rod on the frame end... i just swapped an older RE one on that i had so no need for the other one... its maybe 4 months old.

so I finally squeezed in a few hours on fixing the rear 4 link. I got the the
9" Ford truss cut and welded in and reinforced the lower axle tabs for the new lower links. The links are done ( thanks Matt and Tiff). I got the lower frame end ears plasma cut off but have some grinding to do tomorrow to prep for the new and beefier link tabs. Also welded on some tie down tabs on the rear end for trailering. Maybe get the frame end finished tomorrow and ready for fit up and alignment. I hope !

Lowrange, it is 37 Plymouth pickup. We are making a streetrod out of it. Late model hemi, 5 sp auto, etc. Part of the reason the Jeep recovery is so slow!

I raced my MJ today. I wheeled it even harder than that last video I posted of my XJ... and then I drove it home.

Looks like I'm going to advance auto for another set of free replacement shocks tomorrow :gee: I love lifetime warranties.

Got all my parts installed on both Jeeps...AND - I finally ordered new tires for the Teal Bitch! So glad to get rid of the TruXus tires! Ordered a set of Copper STT's in 35x12.50xr15's. Cant wait to get them on... had them on my Yota and LOVED em.

Will be nice to drive down the road and be able to see out of the mirrors since the tires wont be shaking my teeth out.

Where is the video?! :D

:dunno:

I'm not sure anyone took video.

Practice run: did decent, about quarter of the way through the run I hear this horrific clattering banging from under the front of the jeep, thought I ripped mounts off my dana 30 like I did on exactly the same trail with the 96 XJ last year. Stopped, looked underneath, all the mounts are intact, wtf? Wait, why can I see my serpentine belt from the bottom? The front skid ripped off at one side and had bent back under the front axle, so I twisted it back around till it was pointing out the front and yanked/twisted till it fell off, tossed it in the bed, and got back to hauling ass.

Timed run: wailed on it even harder, got to the halfway point where we turn around and there was another horrific banging clattering noise underneath, I figured it was probably a shock absorber and I was right. So I said screw it and kept driving. Got back to the finish line with a time of 3:53 (top two jeeps were MoparManiac and ktm racer 419, both 3:29, sheepjeep got 3:51, so I was in 4th) and discovered that I had actually ripped two shocks off.

I didn't put a single new dent in the body and got a damn decent time for a slapped together pile of junk so I'm happy :eeks1:

Got this done wasnt done in last post lol
