Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Wrap the fuse in aluminum foil. That should make it at least 100 amp. :)

A paperclip works too. Which ever is easier to install.

I have a set of the same lights that I need to figure out where to install. I could use the same holes you did but my detours bracket is in the way. I guess i'll have to drill holes farther out.

Ive always had good luck with a 20 penny nail cut to size
Good for close to 150 amps

put sams new rear axle in her jeep yesterday..... started with a bare 8.25 housing at noon and took it for a drive at 10 pm.... and all i gotta say is grand cherokee disc brakes are worth it

lol, I think I'd fix the problem before I put more fuses in it.
its the inline fuse in the trigger wire for the Driving lights, I goofed and touched it to the hot wire and blew it, whoops! :D I feex today!

You ain't kiddin! Major difference.

When I put ZJ brakes on the back I also used a WJ booster, WJ master cylinder, and WJ calipers up front.

The first time I took it for a drive I hit the brakes and thought I was going thru the windshield.

I really need to upgrade the brakes on my DD.

I think I'll look for a booster at the PAP tomorrow.

btw, I hear that the Greenville PAP has a BUNCH of XJs. I'm going to check out the stash tomorrow.

the difference is amazing, and im using all the stock booster stuff.... its a perfect firm progressive pedal, no proportioning needed.... im very very pleased with how it drives

X2.

My MJ with a WJ booster + MC, stock prop valve, stock front brakes, 29sp 8.25 and ZJ discs is awesome. I actually only installed the ZJ discs because I would rather spend 70 bucks on ZJ parts at the you pull it than curse myself hoarse assembling drum brakes, I really hate drum brakes :wow:

LKQ pick and pull is awesome! Picked up a factory swingout tire carrier for my 93, a seat and some other parts for her 98, a whole front clip for her pontiac, a whole spindle for a Celica and a steering column for my brothers 85 for 92 bucks... half off!

Replaced the battery (cracked) and starter (fubar'd) on my DD. Gotta install a new blower motor and drivers side window regulator in the DD also this weekend. Also on the roster is yet another new PS pump on the Teal Bitch. Have all the parts, just gotta find the time...

Oh yeah, I rebuilt my Tom Woods rear shaft in the Teal Bitch too... had a hell of a vibration at speed, I guess a 1/4" of slop in a U-Joint bearing cap is too much? Cardan joint had almost fallen apart... Driveline lube is over rated.

PS, changing a starter is stupid easy when its up on a lift... god I love that thing!

It was blued nicely on two of the trunions. I kept it as a trophy. Gave me a really mean vibration at anything above about 30mph, probably because there wasn't a single needle bearing left intact and the other two trunions were melted on the drive faces and the bearing caps were blued and cracked from the load.

The people at Spicer and TW and all the other u-joint companies should stop all their product testing and R&D now. It'd be much cheaper for them to just give us the parts and let us test them :D

I'll handle the replacement testing for the salt water blast test, seeing as I live in the northeast I think I am properly equipped for this.

Speaking of testing. Why do I see a bunch of grills, fridges, stoves, ac units and anything else made of metal in a chain link fence on a valuable beach front property? Salt water resistance?

So, how rare are these things? I know they wont support a huge wheel but I think it'll hold my 31s ok. I got all the support brackets to go with it.

This is the first one I've seen in person...
