Weekend is over...what did you get done?

I must have just had really bad luck with them. There was always something wrong with them.

Ya ever had the belt tensioner fall off in a parking lot? I had 2 of them do that without warning.

I had one 4.0 sludge up so bad I had to rebuild it. Changed the oil every 3k and everything.

I've replaced the fuel pump in almost everyone I've had.

The only one I've owned that really had any power was a 90 model with a 2.9 5 speed. They always seems to have sooo much more power with the manual.

A buddy of mine used to have a 93 4.0 with a 5 speed and never had trouble out of it...

Who knows. I guess it's just hit and miss. I've always missed. No more Rangers for me.

I've had the same luck with mid 90s model F-150s. Had 2 of those. 93 and a 97.

The 93 skipped and miss horribly and got 5 mpg on a good day. Never could figure out what was wrong with that one.

The 97 has been in the shop at least 10 times trying to diagnose the same issue. I believe it is directly related to the cheesy coil packs that those came with.

My father-in-law has a 1994 Ranger, base model, 2.3L 5 speed with 365,000 miles on it. A/C is still ice cold and we just changed the origional front brake pads a month ago. It still gets 26 mpg too!

It was a DD when the Oldsmobile quit but now I'm driving the Villager to haul the kiddos.

I would much rather be dd'ing this than my little car.... Bravo on a very clean resto job

My junk has something shiney on it for a change. I sure needed that.

Bought 2 of these off ebay. One for my 93 and one for the wifes 98. Fit both perfectly and came with more than enough hardware. Had it all bolted up in an hour. I've only ever had Reese hitches but this one was made by Curt. Im pleased.

I sell a lot of Curt hitches and they are very well made. The instructions are really detailed too. Curt Mfg. has one of the best websites.

so ill have an aw4 21 spline for sale as well as a 21 spline 231 with sye and verious renix parts

Went over to Shreks and picked up a donor HPD30. Got it home, drained the differential and pulled the carrier.

Ready to start the swap on Friday night.

I interviewed for a Job within the place that I already work.

I find it interesting that I didn't have to do an interview to get hired onto 3rd shift but when I put it for a shift change to 1st I had to do an hour and a half interview in front of a panel of folks I work with.

I'll find out next week if I'm still on graveyard.

So, I got a good bit done today.

I installed the window regulator in my wifes 98.
I installed the hitch on my wifes 98.
I put all the fenders, gas tank and plastic crap back on my wifes 4 wheeler.
I helped my wife rebuild the carb in our daughters 4-wheeler.
and I looked at my Jeep as I was walking back to the shop to put all my tools up.

All in all I can get back in my 93 and give her 98 back to her. Since it didn't have a window in it for a week I was driving it.

The most pleasing thing of the day was the fact that we fixed the daughters 4-wheeler. That thing has been driving me crazy for the longest time. I'm convinced the needle and seat were sticking. Rebuilt the whole carb and viola!

The only thing I did wrong was put the throttle back into the carb backwards. Which means the throttle was sitting at WOT. I managed to run head on into the brick well house, bust my knee and leg up and broke my Costas. But hey! It works now!

Am I the only one that posts in this thread anymore?

what is"costas"?

me n travis manage to fix his broke @$$ balljoints and shafts.
i put new tail lights in mine. thru the week i removedthe hatch, fixed my fitch box, added some rock lights. but not enough.
ohh and bought a welder last weekend... ohh and me n travis got most my new bumper made. haha

think thats about all.

Pulled my bent front axle from the XJ, swapped the carrier in a donor, got the donor under the truck and bolted it.

I was going to have the Jeep on the wheels today, but I have to swap a steering knuckle. The donor axle has 2 piece knuckles and the part that the brake pads hook into are about 1/4 inch to small. I have the necessary knuckle to replace it, but turns out I don't have a 1 1/4 inch socket, so I couldn't loosen the lower ball joint nut. I was 15 minutes from having it complete and had to stop.

Off to get a socket today.

Not a bad 3 hours work. Felt good to get sweaty and greasy and have something to show for it.

Oopsie!

Spent all last week at Myrtle for my buddy's bachelor party. Got back Friday evening, went to the Autofair at the speedway yesterday. Rode up to see my old man today and dropped in to see my mom and step dad while I was passing through as well.

940 miles in a week. I'm a bit tired of driving!
