Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Well since Mark is a busy man and don't have time to upload pics of his purdy new axle I guess Ill do it for him! :wierd:

Hahahaha. I was wondering how long it would take you to post these.

I love the axle, with the alloy's and Bobby Long joints I feel good about the strength, plus the 3" x 1/2" wall tubes won't hurt either.

The track bar and track bar brace should keep that bad boy centered with no problem. I was hesitant about the single sided upper mount but thanks to Andy @ IronMan I shouldn't have an issue. I can't really tell it on the road at all. It still drives great.

I did have to put a 1.5* shim on the drivers side to bring the camber in line and I also changed out the shocks for some longer ones and added the stud eliminator bracket to the front to make an eye-to-eye shock work.

The rear leaves I bought were supposed to be a 5" leaf. They seem to be quite a bit taller than that. Well, either they are taller than 5" or the leaves I had were waaaay less than 4.5". The newer ones are Alcans. Very nice springs!!! All that said, it does sit a bit taller than I think I will like. I don't know because I haven't had the chance to get it in the rocks yet. Hopefully that will happen soon.

Thanks to RockSolid Fab for a great install. I hope to run that axle through at least 2 bodies. :D By then, it'll be time for something bigger...

I see a suck down winch in your future. Personally I like a little foward rake. Dial those ALCOS down about half an inch or so. Think '69 camaro. It's not that hard you are in the south! What did Andy do for you? What leafs? Looks nice!

I'm gonna have to drop the front a little. The more the better IMO.

Andy made the bushing for the upper control arm mount. Tough as nails!

I've got a picture of the leaves side by side and there is a LARGE difference in the height of them. I'll see if I can actually post a pic up tonight of them.:D

As soon as the parts train comes thru for me I'll have my alloys and feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I can't wait to get mine on the trail since I installed the 44. I still need to find a way to get a traction bar on mine that I like. Then maybe I'll make a long trip north to come see ya'll this go around.

Yea Andy does not build junk. What brand are they? Lift amount etc?

Best place for us all to meet is Callantee. It is a couple hours from Knoxville and about 3 or 4 for us. It is well worth the trip and can be done in a weekend... unlike Harlan.

well you're my parts train so when you deliver we'll go wheelin! lol

Yea well you better keep reminding me BC I already forgot. :wierd:

lol, I'm sure I'll remember to remind you but the last reminder I can give you is on the June 24th cause that's when I leave on a ship. I ain't callin you from Mexico to remind ya! lol

Here are the only two pics I have of the rear leaves.

Rough Country 4.5" on left and the Alcan 5" on right.

RC on top and Alcan on bottom.

These are pure beef springs but they really set my Jeep up high in the rear. I have a longer shackle and the relocation brackets and that plus the leaves, whew, it sits pretty tall.

Just got back from AL, bought a new to me tow rig/DD this afternoon. '05 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9. Haven't even got to really drive it yet....my Dad just about ran to the thing as we were leaving the lot and took off in it, leaving the Jeep for me. He said it drove nice though.

New rear springs...no more saggy rear end.

Ok so you got a set of alcans? I ran 6" alcans for a while. Expect them to sag on the pasasnger side first. Might take a year might not. Where they new?

Ok, the majority of it came with the truck. The darker stuff around the rear wheel well is 3M Professional Grade Rubberized Undercoating. The nozzle was a you know what to keep flowing, but it turned out well. The stuff coming off, just under the fuel filler is the stuff that came with the truck. I need to respray the old stuff with this rubberized stuff. It looks better.

They aren't new. I got them used.

I can already tell ya one is sagged. The way they are on now, it happens to be the passenger side. Almost 1.5" difference in the way the Jeep sits. What's the best way to "even" them up? I'm gonna have to move my rear shackles because the passenger side bottoms out already. I was gonna swap sides with them and see if they would even out. Oh well...

Might want to give Andy a call. He has an adjustable shackle that might do the trick. I have no experience with it but others on other sites have said they work well. Do you have Ho's bracket?

Might be worth a call...

Yea, I'm running Brian's relocation brackets.

I like looking out the front window even more now! :D Gonna put spacers up front to stop the rub!
