Wow, never seen a valve that was CRACKED!!! Holy crap. I have seen my fair share of burnt ones, but those are even worse!!!
I think my CTS is bad - I couldn't get a steady reading from it while the engine was cold. Does the engine need to be hot to test the sensor? I wouldn't think so.
None of the parts stores around me carry it in stock, either. grrrr Too bad the HO sensor doesn't fit the RENIX.
i am still having some issues with my poor xj, but it starts, and runs, even without me pressing the accelerator to keep it going. it is, however dumping raw fuel out of the tail pipe, and only runs smooth at rpm's above 2500. i think maybe the map sensor is mad at me, and it looks like that's where i'll start my parts throwing spree

got the overhead mounted re-upholstered and secure. Just need to wire it. I'll get a pic of it when its done
No, it will read cold or hot, Here are the numbers;
212*-185 ohms
70*(room temp)-3,400 ohms
So the lower the temp the more the resistance.
Thanks; I thought it should read cold but it wouldn't. I will be picking up a new one today and will get around to installing it this weekend. Should be easy enough to unscrew the old and jam the new one in without making too terrible of a mess (without draining coolant).
Where was that picture taken? Bill Davis Racing? Or TRD? High Point, NC?
