Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Went this morning and finally got the fender i needed to put the jeep back together. at least for the outside. Gutted the interior a few days ago, now time to start cleaning and prepping for the rhino lining. ANY IDEAS on what to do with the wiring that is ran under the driver front flooring. I dont want to splice all those wires just to get them out of the way.

I got nothing done this weekend. I got hit by the stomach bug on Sunday am and it took me off my feet and to the toilet:puke:

I spent Sunday night/Monday am fighting off the worst case of cold chills/fever sweat that I have ever had in my life. I missed my first day of work in 23 years on Monday for being sick. That is one wicked little bug.

Probably a good thing i didn't make it to Mt City I might not have made it home.

Wow! Hope you feel better soon! I think we need to try and get some of the VA guys there net time. It is well worth the trip and is a nice central location for us all to meet up. Of course there is Harlan this summer!

Feelin much better now! Thanks!

I'll get there soon, just got to get the axle swaps and T-case swap done on my rig and it will be wheelable for the rest of the spring/summer.

I FINSIHED MY LIFT TODAY!!!

*caveat...still need to drill out one frozen bolt on the sway bar bracket, have someone install the extended rear break line, and get an alignment, but...

I FINISHED MY LIFT TODAY!!!

Next order of business...open my birthday cards next week, cash the checks, and go red at NAXJA.

Then install my CB!

pulled the motor/trans/transfercase outta my xj. motor is fubar, transmission and tcase are full of pepto bismol. i'll be flushing and replacing fluid in both, and replacing the motor with an HO out of a 92.

I removed the stock air box and replaced it with a inline filter from the snorkel. Runs the same, i have more room under the hood and i will no longer be smashing the air tube with the driver side front tire on full stuff.

Congrats! Hope some of the information I PM'd you a couple of weeks ago was handy. Can't wait to see pics of the Jeep!

The information that a number of people PM'd me and answered on my open forum post questions helped a lot. Thanks to all y'all.

Once I go red, I can get some photos up. Otherwise I am going to get one or two of the finished product on my Facebook page, and the NAXJA SEC page later today...or tomorrow.

Gonna drive it to the shop today for an alignment and to have them recenter the steering wheel.

MIGHT have found my new JK wrangler to buy. its in nashville at the BMW of Nashville dealership, marroon with the greyish top and greyish tan interior, sahara (pretty much stock)

woohooo! a little concerned about a couple things like the fact that it has two pieces of what looks like black duct tape at the top of the windshield and over the hartop... anyone know why they would do this? im going to call them today and find out. and there is a crinkle in the passenger side rear bumper but nothing that looks too damaged or a deal breaker. mileage is good at 32k for a 2007...

planning the same-- any details on the Spectre filter assby?

Dude, you shouldn't buy anything from the dealership!

my mom works for the same corp that owns the dealership... so i can get employee pricing about the same as a private sell sometimes less depends on how good a deal the dealership got it for. im also looking at private sales as well.

and ghost your correct i called them a minute ago and they said the same thing, which is what i assumed but wanted to make sure.

sad thing is he told me its in financing... so if that deal falls through he will call me...

Took XJ to MARTA, had radiator cap bust while in the stall. XJ starts pouring smoke. Heating to 280*. :flamemad:
Drove 2 miles to be able to stop. Let her cool down. Drove to AutoZone, replaced cap and coolant. Drove home.
5 times she died on me.
Now? At least it's a nice day out!

I think I just about got my WJ/OTA setup done but wanted to get some opinions on how I did the tie rod. A straight link would not clear at full lock so I bent it so it would. Of course I over did the bends and now it sticks out kinda far. My main issue though is that the TRE's are leaned all the way over due to the tie rod wanting to roll downwards. Is this going to be OK or should I figure something else out?
