Weekend is over...what did you get done?

paintballing saturday morning, wakeboarding in the afternoon, 14 mile kayak trip down the harpeth sunday....:D

Me and my girl went on an overnight canoe trip last year. The canoe place owner told us that once we hit the 4th bridge, we'd be halfway done. Well, we canoed all friggin day till we hit that 4th bridge. We were tired and not looking forward to the second day.

The second day, we canoed for a like 2 hours and we were done. The 4th bridge was like 5/6 of the way done.

Fri- Finished waxing a boat, rope swing at Lake Wheeler.
Sat- Got the shaft for my transfercase, Swimming at Jordan, Candlebox @ Downtown live, Ale House for a buddies birthday.
Sun- Ran the puppies (and ran and ran and ran), Durham Bulls game with the family.

I love summertime.

Worked, worked, and (if I haven't said it enough) worked. I run a local parts store (say what you want, but we're definitely NOT the typical parts store) and the Mongol hoards descended on us this past weekend! I was under the impression that military pay day was supposed to be the 1st and 15th of each month-- the 1st fell on a Monday, and I was prepared for the business on Monday (the store is less than a mile outside the largest Navy base in the world) but as luck (sorta) would have it, pay went into the bank Friday at midnight. There's nothin' like working a counter and pulling in almost $1000 per labor hour for the first 4 hrs of a Saturday morning and Then getting busy!!
You'd think after 13yrs of this, I'd figure out the Gov't pay system a little better............

fix that darn squeak!
:shhh::yelclap::jester:

haha...its mostly gone now with the tire laying flat! still a lot of creaking/groaning from my jeep though. luckily the exhaust drowns most of it out...and my radio drowns most of the exhaust out. It all works out :D

Went to a restaurant with a bunch of friends tonight, ordered one beer, paid for it with a $20 and got $24 back in change...Yuengling on draft for $1 and I made $4...i'd say it was a good night!

Crank sensor 'pooped the bed' half way to work today-- buck-snort-fart-pop......... all the way (last 3 miles) to the store. I do-so love running a parts house-- it's nice to know that if I make it there, I can get what I need and fix it while I'm there!! 160,000 on the original (Bendix molded into it) CPS is just enough for me to say it doesn't owe me anything. I replaced it with a BWD unit (against everyone's advice, here) and will see how it does-- I'm expecting another 160,000 before I need to worry, but if that doesn't come to fruition, I'll be the first to admit my error.

Tossed a set of 6" stacks on the Ford.

I'm running the BWD on my RENIX and its been good for 3 years now. I carry a spare CPS in all of the XJ's though (and the tools to put them in with).
