Went downtown again Friday night with a friend who came in from Raleigh. Went to the Hurricanes playoff game Saturday night thanks to her parents getting us tickets....crappy game but lots of action and the atmosphere of the stadium was nuts. Went to their lake house on Lake Norman today and got fried on the boat.

All in all a great weekend!

Track Bar bushings...been true for me every time.....one 70 mph pothole takes em out every time...instant mushy cracked bushings....then slowly it gets worst.....then the dreaded DW!

"her" is my girlfriend...guess that's what happens when i'm half asleep.

Got hit last night! I parked my jeep in front of my girlfriend's house yesterday and we we rode with her brother and girlfriend to greene street and when i came back, my Jeep's front left tire was up on the curb. no body damage at all. They hit my rear tire and bent the front of the main leaf and the steering wheel is 90 degrees to the right, and my axle is not centered.
But on the bright side, I got my new Long arm mounts mounted and they look great.

  • Replaced my tie rod end and drag link with one that does not rattle.
  • Helped Mudd Digga with his water pump.
:peace:

Had a date night with my wife Saturday night after mowing the yard and using my new weedeater. It's soooo nice.

Sunday, I installed new upper and lower ball joints on the driver side of the D30. Rotated the tires and greased up everything. Grilled steaks Sunday night.

Bummed around most of the day Monday. Used the weedeater again. Did I mention how nice it works? Watched a few Land of the Lost episodes on the SciFi channel (wow, that is pretty rough) and finished with the Deadliest Catch marathon.

I should have been wheeling at Windrock, but all in all a good weekend.

Dude I would look very closely at the rest of the front end components (like control arms and such) to see if they're bent if your steering wheel is 90 degrees off and the axle isn't centered.

Went wheeling!!!!

No you didn't help me with my water pump. You pretty much did the whole thing. I watched and learned mostly. Everyone has to start somewhere..hehe:cheers:

Friday til just now I did:

Shackle relocation boxes. Shackle angle is now about 40*.
Replaces my 4" coils and 1.75" spacer for some new Rustys 6.5" coils and suprisingly got another full inch or more of lift?...Put in some extended bumpstops.

Installed my HD tie rod with Teraflex 1ton TREs. Had to cut off the steering stabilizer bracket as well as the passenger sway bar link. And grind on my SOLID cover to keep the tie rod off it.

During that I cut into the track bar mount a bit on the axle side and cut into the coil bucket too so I made a peice that fir in there snug from some scrap 3/16" plate and beefed it up. No more slop in the track bar hole(drilled it with a drill bit that was .05 bigger than the bolt). It cleaned the whole area up right there and made it a good bit stronger.

I think thats about it...lol
Also, cleaned it really good inside and out. Cleaned the engine bay for the first time in forever.

Went riding saturday, transfer case started to pop and clank in 4 low. so i used 4hi the rest of the day. pulled it out sunday and put one in i had laying around. wrapped everything up monday morning by rechecking some bolts and adding fliud. Went to try it and nothing wouldnt go in gear at all.

So about 5pm yesterday i pulled the one out of my parts jeep and slid it over and had it in about 10pm last nite. i just thats alright time with just me doing it lol.

went to a LAN party on saturday and spent time with the kid that morning.

sunday went shopping twice and ended up at a local park for picnic dinner and walking/playing with the kid.

monday we went up to the ocoee for some fun with the family, got rained on good. bit the dust on a rock and hurt my knee (was holding the kid at the time so i was more concerned with him NOT hitting the rock, just scared him a little) good times though.
and ended up painting my wheels OD and my tailgate to see how the body is going to look with it, btw it looks awesome now i just have to finish the job, you guys will like the detail im goign to put into it when i get it finished, pics to come... did i mention i slept in every morning... man it was nice.
