Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Went to Thunder in the Valley air show, subscribed to the online JP rag, the only thing I dont like about it so far is I cant take it to my office unless I get a lap top. Did not fix my master cylinder.

Installed a coolant tank from a Dodge Intrepid...now I have a real radiator cap. No more worrying about bad coolant tanks on the closed system!

To expand...

So last weekend while at Pull-a-Part, I picked up a coolant tank with a REAL cap in it for $4 from a Dodge Intrepid. Took 10 minutes to install it. Fits like a glove! Now no more worrying about the crappy plastic cap not holding pressure. This is a great mod for any Renix system XJ with the closed cooling system.

pretty much wrapped up my jeep "to do list" in preperation for the Windrock trip... (we all know that list never ends... lol)

RE-put in axle seals... installed electric fan and wired it up... installed steering fluid cooler... got some help with welding my sliders on... tested my jeep on my dads trailer (didnt fit the first one so we are going with his car hauler)... installed a new connector on my dads suburban so the car hauler has brakes and lights :D woot!

now all that is left for windrock is to
get my cb checked or install a new one (cant transmit)
tighten up my steering belt (not sure exactly how, might end up with a new belt)
possibly install tie down anchors in the tub
and possibly make clearance for my front driveshaft.

i went wheelin for a minute, but my tcase kept poppin out of four low, thanks to mbogosia's suggestion that i had my crossmember in backwards. i'll fix this sometime this week...
framed up some interior walls, wired the electric outlets and sheetrocked/mudded the ceiling and all the walls and installed carpet and lights in my uncle's new guest bedroom/former garage...
tuned up a volvo, charged the a/c on my new waggy, a zj, a kj liberty, and a chevy 3/4 ton van.
used my new waggy to yank some unwanted trees and shrubs out of my uncle's yard.
played hookie from my crappy weekend job to do the fun stuff listed above.

Even though it's not the weekend...installed the H4's tonight...holy crap what a difference!

i replaced my lower arms with some rustys adj. went to pull a parts. installed ZJ pitman arm. replaced a unit bearing. then last night i started taking apart my motor for my stroker. not much left to do to have it running!!

I replaced my fuel rail o-rings and hooked my MAP sensor back up. Man it runs so much better...

Va safety inspection PASSED!! on the first try.

Now I can take the doors back off and start breaking things that I'll ignore 'til next March when I remember that I hate procrastinators.

Installed my Superwinch today in preparation for Windrock. It was so easy since Detours made the pattern spot on.

hey sweet! i got a superwinch a couple months ago. it's pretty nice, except the cable power out didn't want to work for a second on short mountain one time...
i fixed my crossmember, went wheelin, then broke something else all in the course of 4 hours. it was awesome.

I messed around online, did chores about the house, and thanked the powers that be for employment that I didn't have to sell my Jeeps!

4 Jeeps and a strange desire to go wheeling.

Cleaned and painted a D30 and D44. Then pulled the shafts and carrier on the D30 and D44. Then pulled my D35 and installed the D44. Back hurts really bad. :(
You have a surprise on the way...:yelclap:

Made my doors removeable, installed front 2500 clip, undercoated entire jeep, cleaned rear carpet, mounted Cobra 29LTBT, moved CD player, mounted Warn rear bumper with tire carrier, did a little body work in preparation to bedline entire Jeep, and removed Olympic Tophat Rack. Man what a weekend. Can't wait till this weekend coming!

Cut the "other" knuckle off of the D30HP tubes and dressed the tube in preparation for sleeving and trussing. Tried to fit the sleeve on but its way to tight. I cut a 1" length of tube and will use that to seek out high spots in the stock tube.

Installed rear spot lights / backup lights.

Finished one school project Saturday morning, went to Harbor Freight and picked up a couple of jack stands that afternoon (going back for two more next weekend)...went out with some friends for dinner that evening and then to a party at another friend's house. Woke up early this morning and cleaned my apartment up since my parents were coming to spend the day. Went to the new IKEA that was just built and got lost in there for 3 hours with my folks, then they took me out to dinner.

All in all a busy but fun weekend....for the most part a break from school.

Oh, found out i'm getting water in my brand freaking new Autopals I just put on this week! :banghead:
