Weekend is over...what did you get done?

helped a buddy change out a rear main seal, and install a shackle reversal kit on an 89 YJ...
going to install a CD player and speakers in my Willys tomorrow, and finish wiring my CB and mount the antenna...

I have been putting off a lot of little things until this weekend
Washer fluid bottle had a crack I need to repair, Glassed over it with some resin and mat. Tested this morning and it sealed up nicely,
Replaced the reverse light bulb that had gone out. Along with one of the led tail lights that had about 5 diodes out.
Finished the headliner replacement, basically the sound bar needed to be recovered and installed.

The big project for the weekend was wrapping up the 44 for the front, it’s been sitting in the garage taking up space for much to long. Damn I am slow on builds.

Steering parts from Ballistic Fab came in on Thursday, so spent the weekend cutting tube and installing the hub, rotors and brakes which is the finishing touches. I still need to weld up the rod ends and it’s done.

Specs
Ford hp44 kept full width
TNT truss and brackets
Crane outers
Ox locker
4.56 gears
Dutchman shafts
CTM joints
Chevy 1ton steering TRE's. Except at the pitman arm which was already drilled for 5/8 bolt. 7/8 inch hiems for pitman arm and trackbar
1.5” DOM for linkage

Spent all three days helping a friend move into his first house. Went to a hockey game last night, then over to a friends party after the game. Spent today recovering and putting an alternator on my friends Escort after it died in the middle of the road on the way over to my other friend's (the guy who I was helping move in) garage where I was going to change it out anyways. Damn thing died half a mile too short.

spent the weekend NOT getting my motor pulled. the bolts on top of the bell housing kicked me ass.

got the hp60 and the sterling geared and welded.. gotta finish the brakes and them find some superduty rollers until i buy tires

I broke the driveshaft on my Samurai, drove 50 miles one way to buy a spare. Bought 2 spares. Then got stuck in the Jeep soon after. We've had a lot of rain, it's usually not this muddy. All in all, Had lots of fun!

Im the guy with 89 YJ... installed the shackle reversal kit (thanks Melkor/Tyler) and rear main seal, next will be to fix the hair line crack in my 231 and install my CB

Put the rear back together and went wheeling on some local trails on private property with OlBlue.

Pulled the 30 to fix the LCA mounts and weld on some skids, as well as what I thought would be a pretty simple inner seal replacement. This was my first time messing with the innards of a diff., and it was interesting to say the least. Apparently the tubes were pretty full of junk and some fell into the diff when the seals popped out. Now I get to learn how the pinion is installed and see if I can clean the bearings out.

Did you tack weld the pinion housing back together? lol

No I had to get new R & P. the Ring gear was missing a few teeth even though the pinion was witout a scratch. Used a case I had out back.

Managed to mess up my exhaust at River Rock. I am going to have to cut out about a 3 foot section and replace it. Other than that I didnt do much this weekend but wheel the dog snot out of mine.

I'm suprised the pinion didn't get messed up when it landed on the ground. When are you guys planning trip up here? Time to see mom-in-law ain't it? Or whoever you said lived near here. I hear they're planning to open a park in Liberty... hear-say.

Put in a temp sensor
New fan belt
Got in some trail time

Where was that at? that looks like fun! I waana go!

Lee county. Between Hartsville and Bishopville. It is not a lot of land but its nice to have something really close by. I have been talking with them about getting more rock in the trails. It's fn but the sandy terain is loose.

Installed my new 8500lb winch, had the thoughest time because for one, I had to take the bupmer off after fighting with it for an hour, had to cut a hole in the botttom of the front to access the front two mounting bolts. Now i have to fab a cover for that. But its all on now and works great.
