Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Today I swapped out my broken down front seats with a set from a 96 zj.

I felt bad too. We had talked about it for a couple of weeks, and I told him i'd have it back together for this weekend. Completely forgot all about it! Wound up having to put it together after breakfast Sunday morning right before he left.

No worries. It's together. LG and I put it together Wednesday night after work Now to reinstall it. The pump pick up didn't want to seat right so hopefully it will be ok. Went to a beer dinner featuring foods paired with Holy City brewing at my favorite restaurant with Deanna last night. I gained 2 pounds! :looney:

Spent the last 4 days in central VA for work. Flying home tonight for a Merle Haggard concert. Should my flight in Charlotte get cancelled again, Tim will have a houseguest tonight...

Judging by the fact I didn't have a housegest on Friday, i'm assuming your flight wasn't cancelled lol.

Saturday took the boys back to school shopping. Today I put the 5 speed xj back together. It has rusty floor pans but I drove it down the side street. Shifter decent and the air works. I did notice a shudder at higher rpm's. Didn't really get to drive it much since it doesn't have a tag yet. I'll transfer the one off the beat up benz when it sells. I found the omnix ada floor pan on line for $256. Not too bad IF I decide to tray and rebuild this one.

Nah, I made it. My flight in was 45 minutes late and I made it from E32 to C7 in 7 minutes and was one of the last 10-15 to board the flight to Nashville.

Got the top on the pallet bar I've been building. Still only have $11.95 in it for some bolts/screws I used on the 'fence' across the patio. Everything else is stuff I've recently picked up for free or already had lying around leftover from previous projects. Just need to locate some bar stools from a yard sale (my wife felt my forehead for fever when I mentioned this) to match it somewhat. Might throw a coat of paint on it...but once the weather stops being a million degrees and the humidity drops below 1000% we'll be able to sit out there and enjoy it!

Also built this for the kids. $15 worth of PVC and again...the rest was stuff just laying around. Now it's time to dig out around it some and add a pond liner...cheap splash pool and will add some 'decoration to the back yard once some aquatic plants are added. Hmmm...anyone know where in Florida I can get aquatic plants LOL...besides my neighbor's pasture? :)

That's a haul! E terminal is the worst by far in CLT. It's the nicest and newest, but is so far away from the rest of the airport.

Finally got the tire carrier for my JCR rear bumper.Prep and paint still need to be done.
Might get it installed by labor day......If I get a day off work...

St. Andrews state park is the only state park in PCB. It's on the east side away from all the newest condo's and stuff like pier park. It's a nice area, you've got quick access to the gulf beach area , the pass of St. Andrews marina area, and tour pontoon boats to drop you off at shell island hourly. My grandparents have a condo at the Commodore less than a mile away from the entrance and we put the boat in there all the time. Camping area is pretty nice. They have powered sites and a shower area and playground for the kids near the boat ramp. There is a pier to the marina area there and a long one out at the state park line in the gulf.

From the boat ramp area one morning.

My father-in-law got my new drop bracket reinforcement plates made and welded up. They just need a coat of paint. They are A LOT better than the crappy ones Rough Country provides.

Pictures? Ed didn't you get a floor pan recently?

I put floor pans in 3 years ago (I think). That wasn't super fun.

I'll have to get some pictures. He wanted to bead blast them before priming and painting them. They will be very durable.

Wow has it been 3 years sense you went down to Atlanta I think it was and bout a floor pan? Damn I didn't realize it had been that long. The 5 speed xj needs some floor pan work and I'm looking at options...... I'm in no supper hurry to do it but need to plan it budget wise. The pan I found was about $300 and it looks like it's the whole front floor.

Actually it was 5 years ago. Wow, time flies.

I bought and picked up the floor pan from Omix-ADA in Sewanee, GA. It is a factory front floor stamping for a 1996 XJ. We trimmed the sides from the transmission tunnel. The only issue with the factory stamping is it's thin.

Raybuck makes some nice replacement panels and they are thicker. Travis used these to replace the passenger side floor on my red 1994 XJ. They look good and fit well, plus they are thicker material. I talked to the body shop employee that put them in and he said they were really nice panels and fit great.
