Weekend is over...what did you get done?

I can't leave well enough alone. So I picked up a 98 4x4 with a blown engine and going to convert my 98 2wd to 4wd.

Last night I meet KP at an exit off of I-40 for a spot of tea.

Nice. That's a clean looking body. I'm assuming yours is as clean? Seems like it'd be just as easy to swap motors. Or swap the 4wd stuff and part that one out.

My limited is in much better shape than the white sport one, not that the white one in bad shape or anything. I talked about just buying an engine and swapping in it and I thought my girlfriend might stab me on the spot. She mumbled something about having a 5 vehicles. I told her 5 vehicles was better than 5 girlfriends.

Nice comeback..... does that have a title with it? I am thinking about starting over and a white xj stripped would be a good start. Like I need another project...... :confused1

Hey, swap a cheap motor back in it and sell it for much profit. Then buy another cheap 4wd and part it out. More profit.

It needs to start with no roof.

No see that is why I am thinking of starting over...... And I think a good start would be an atlas or something other then the 203/205 I have. Sticky tires too!

Dont chop it... We very much enjoyed doors and heat in moab.

Yes. I enjoy staying mostly dry when in Harlan rain storms too. :kissyou:

The next mj will even have ac

A/C is wonderful...

Meh, the improved visibility greatly outweighs inclement weather.

I'd beg to differ on this one. Coming down the mountain in Harlan in Tyler's rig during a monsoon of a summer storm made me appreciate a windshield, windows, and doors.

Made for a memorable experience, but damn if we weren't completely drenched by the time we hit the bottom. We made excellent time too! :)

After driving in the rain in my XJ with no doors and the 33's, I will not chop a street rig, but as for trails, getting soaked in mud makes it more fun :D The XJ's roof will be chopped off before it's all said and done.

^ This. I'm all for heat and AC for something driven on the road but a straight up trail rig don't need that fancy stuff.
