Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Clear what seat? The back? I don't follow you on that.

B-pillar. It has to be bent to to follow the contour of the OEM B-pillar to clear the driver and passenger front seat.

You can kinda see it in this picture. Not very well but if you squint your eyes real hard you can see it.

I was ASSuming that the bends in the D&C kit helped tie the hoop into the stronger section of floor right above the "frame rails". Is this the case, or no?

I doubt it. That bend might be a bit more extreme than my kit but mine lands the B-pillar foot about half way between the slider and the unibody. Which, IMO, is good because I can get to it to brace it.

The harness bar gives it the strength being right in that bend when it is welded in. It ends up just about 1/2 on top of the unibody rail, hopefully I can use a piece of angle iron to tie it in there. They say it's stronger being on top of the frame rail.

When I find some time I'll finally be bracing my sliders down to the unibody and tieing in the cage when I do... since the floor has started to buckle I thought that might be a good idea.

I had a broke dick racing cage in my XJ and a HD Offroad in my ZJ. I'll never have another cage that's not HDORE again. Brian does prime work

Agreed he does do prime work. What cost? He is a long way form a lot of us though. TN guys not so much.

It changes based on the price of DOM. I traded him a dana 300 and had him do my mini boat sides so I don't know what the cost is. I'm a cheap ass though so it's can't be too high lol

That I understand 100% Which is why I was thinking about getting that engine you had..... ;)

Get in line at tylers for a cage. For the cost+ship on a cage kit youre better off just having one build.

Off the shelf always has a compromise. No compromises doesnt cost that much more

X2 Tyler does amazing work too.

Yea but all the years he's been around I have yet to hear an estimate. Yes I know all about fluctuating prices.

Who is Tyler and where is he located? How much for a cage similar to the D&C (ballpark)?

He's not far Mike and everything I have seen has looked good. Might be worth getting a quote.

Yep but like Ho there are not ball park prices out there.

I bet if you sent one of them a PM with what you wanted and were serious about it then you'd get a estimate.

True. My next vehicle to get caged will be the Mj. That is a long way off though.
