Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Had a day off, and spent it ticked off about rain. I can't get anything done outside, and my garage is so tiny that I can't walk around if my VW is in there, and I can't even close the door with the xj in there. It is time to move.
 
Story of my life...

Decided to drive the truck to the beach since I haven't had a chance to familiarize myself with the new Jeep.

Turns out that was a wise decision considering the Jeep died on me on the way to work this morning...

And it's still sitting right there.
 
Went to Troy, Ohio for the 24th Annual Scout & Light Truck Nationals. I had a good time and saw a lot of cool Scouts and pickups. I need to get in gear and get my 1973 1110 underway. I saw a lot of parts I would have liked to have purchased but Moab kept that from happening.

Bondo and Paint doesn't look right when sprayed in the rain...
I'll just have to be patient.
As far as rolling the bug out, it has too much bare metal to be in the rain yet, and I don't wanna weld frame stiffys on a wet jeep, lol. I'll get stuff done eventually. I got some work done to the bug, just can't prime it and paint it til I get a pretty day.

Pick the bug up and tote it in the house. Work on it in the spare bedroom and leave the garage for the Jeep.

I built my first VW engine in my bedroom when I was 16. lol
 
Built a transmission/Tcase skid for Will, (94xjsport94). Built off of the Clayton crossmember. Went from a 3 hour job to a 6 our job when she wouldnt fit the first time..lol. Had to chop it up a little and regroup, but its got everything covered now. It aint going anywhere, thats for sure.










Heres the final 2.1 version, we were rushing since he had to be at work.

Looks good! That's a very similar design I once got from The Off Road General Store. Any of you old timer's remember them? They're in SoCal...
