Picked up my new rust queen. Poor jeep needs floor pans and rockers, and something similar to a cut and fold on the quarters, and she'd be pretty solid.
Anyway, this one was cheap, and it's a 2door 5speed, which always holds a soft spot in my heart. I'll post pics in a day or 2

New years, went with friends out, ended up in a strip club, vip for several hours, spent a small fortune of the wheeling fund. Not the worst night ever...

Quit drinking on the 1st, not a new years resolution, just a good time to start something Ive wanted to do for a while, and going sober with my best bud makes it alot easier.

finally set up my CB. The swr maxs out at 2.5 on channel 40, so I should be able to rock and roll on the trails now.

Set your swr the lowest at whatever channel you use the most. Mine is set 1-10 because that's what everyone uses on the trails. Your antenna length will be different depending on what channel you tune it to.

i have a PROBLEM and im not afraid to admit it....

dragged this home this morning...89 2 door 5 speed 4x4 laredo, kid started to change the internal slave on the pukegoat and gave up. clean title, rust free, great body and interior. i traded a few items of value for it so im only 65 cash out of pocket for the gas and food to go get it.....wait for it....supposedly it runs! i was told the motor ran great before the trans got pulled!

obviously it needs tires...but it has a full 3 inch RC kit on it too! with shocks!

Gotcha.

I drive the Silverado most every day now anyways. (5.3)

It gets the same mileage as my XJ and it's a much more comfortable ride.

I need to drive the little Jeep more often.

When I drive the truck for a week or so I get in the Jeep and notice how bumpy the ride is and how sharp that sucker will turn. I MISS my Jeep turning radius when driving the truck. lol

Btw, I still have everything to convert that Jeep to external slave...

it makes better sense for me to drive a jeep since the burb gets 9mpg and the car can't tow a double jet ski trailer


i might hit you up on the conversion parts...im officially on the hunt for an ax15 to put in this thing, then a fresh set of 31's and it should be good to go..

Yeah, that's the first thing that went thru my mind was that I have an AX-15 too but it's an AX-4. 11 too few AX's.

I know I'm really excited.... I have patiently waited for the Craigslist universe to spit out a black renix 2 door straight shift for quite some time... I got really lucky the dude I got it from was pretty cool as well, worked his ass off helpin me load it. It was just meant to be mine

Took advantage of a 75* day in January to get a little bit of work done on the Jeep. Installed the Iron Man track bar i've had laying on the floor of my living room for a good 3 months now. Holy crap what a difference in driving.....no longer am I fighting to stay in one lane!

Got my new rear bumper/swingout finished up for the daily driver. Paint is currently drying, installed pictures to come tomorrow.

Man how I hate internal slaves.

I went down to Carolina Beach with a group of people yesterday morning to enjoy the warm weather. Had a great time, some hilarious moments around the fire, elbow room... Man it was nice.

It got better because I dragged the jet ski down with me. HOLY COW riding the surf is fun. I'm hooked. Cruised around the intercoastal waterway and saw all sorts of different boats and people, and dolphins.

I did run in 2WD, some ungodly popping I haven't heard before in 4LO. I opened the diff cover tonight but couldn't find anything. Today sucked though. I have some destroyed teeth on my flywheel that prevents me to start. I managed to pop the clutch while getting a strap and kept her running off the beach and all the way home. This is really bad timing for me, I start the academy next week and have a lot of errands to run this week. Looks like I start the week off by swapping a flywheel.

I have new inspiration to get one of the Hondas back on the road. Need an 01 Accord transmission or a D16y8 motor for the Civic. Ugh.
