SBR and can all hidden under a nice long handgaurd, say a Troy/VTAC Alpha Rail? Don't you steal my thunder... or lack thereof.

Great minds think alike..... Although my version has a short handgaurd and an exposed can....10.5 inch upper and a decent can will do with a short range optic.

Beware the man with one gun....for he knows how to use it ;) it will be the multi tool of the arsenal

I'll stick with a 16" barrel. Like my Jeep, you'll hear me coming! :D

Almost done with this.... needs the interior cleand badly!

Bought 219 dollar lower control arms on craigslist for 40, bought 2 inch spring boosters for the front and 1 inch extended shackles for the rear. Gonna be sitting at about 5 inches of lift with 35's verrrry soon.

started welding up my tire carrier and probably gonna purchase the 2x6 box steel for my sliders wednesday

you should pick up the latest issue of recoil magazine....i dont really agree with their flashy (and expensive) portrayal of what they call "gun lifestyle" and their ex-editor made some comments that frankly angered me and led to the loss of his job, but its the crawl mag of guns. way cool photography and top of the line stuff

....anyway they did a shoot on john noveske's 300 blk sbr and it is a fantastic looking firearm...10.5 inch upper with a quick disconnect can. i like the 300 caliber choice but until it sees widespread use (read DOD use ;)) i'll stick with a .223

.300 AAC blackout is a FAD........and your right when SHTF.....most available cal. wins. A better option for heavy projectile would be a 7.62 x 39 upper. But I too will stick to 5.56 and .308 for black rifles.

Buy all the 7.62 x 54r you can..............trust me.

i think i might order a can this week....stash is a little low, your maybe is better than most people's sure ;)

i am a staunch believer that if the guys in green are using it, it will be continued to be manufactured at any cost if SHTF, 9mm .223 .308, a complete collection should have one of each, the rest is gravy

The biggest reason I would consider a .300 blackout is the subsonic qualities. I have seen some at the range with a can that are too quiet to register on a shot timer. For a comparison, a stapler gets picked up on the shot timer. It's Hollywood quiet.

Has a little scare today with the Jeep. Within in coasting distance of my driveway the Jeep suddenly conks out. Blew the engine control fuse, same 30A Glenn toasted in Lions Den. I assumed the worst case that something had shorted out in the dash or fuel pump because of a torrential downpour without doors today. Finally found the wires to the O2 sensor had melted to the exhaust manifold. It's amazing how much better you feel once you know the problem.

Just got finished cutting out, tacking and welding a cradle/mounting plate for a Warn 8274 Winch. Now I just gotta build a bumper around it. Stay tuned. :D

If you ever find yourself building a front bumper from scratch, do yourself a favor and get these pre-cut bumper brackets from Tyler at Rock Solid Offroad. They are awesome, and make life a LOT easier.

I had the same thing happen with the rear driveshaft and o2 sensor wiring.

FYI, if your manifold can melt your wiring, you probably have it routed wrong. It's supposed to go around the left side of the intake manifold behind the power steering pump and under the fuel supply/return lines, not between the manifold and the serp belt path on the front. There's a clamp down near the oil pan level that keeps the excess cable from flapping around, too, that one's rather important.
