To help unite the NAXJA community of Southern Colorado Id like to start up a monthly meet 'n greet. This is to allow the community to make new friends and exchange stories and knowledge in person instead of the interweb.

Im not expecting a huge turnout the first time but word will spread and maybe we'll recruit a few new CO members.

For cities Id like to center this around is Colo Springs and Pueblo. I choose these two cities to hold the meetings because KOAA News 5/30 mentions these two cities as southern colorado. Also they a near to eachother and sorrounding cities arent a far drive for those who must travel. Id like to start the Meet 'n Greet in Colo Springs. Im open to locations and suggestions. I have already mentioned Grocery Warehouse but I feel we might intimidate the ricers which could escelate to problems Id like to avoid. Also if there is a public indoor place to meet this would be much better being its winter, cold, and sometimes snow on the ground.

As for what to bring to theses Meet 'n Greets. Anything non-alchoholic and no weapons. Just wanted to say that as a precaution. Also if we cant find a public place Id like permission from the store saying we may be parked in their lot aslng as no issues arise.

The first Meet 'n Greet I wish to have held on Saturday, December 22, 2007. I think saturdays are best for everyone. Times Im open for suggestions aswell. Evenings also works well for everyone aswell. Maybe 5:30pm til we cant handle the cold or move on somewhere else.

This will be montly every saturday towards the end of the month so dont sweat if you miss us.

MOD's and CO BOD feel free to contact me if Im out of line announcing this. This is Unofficial, but Id like to make it official one day to show how much members and nonmembers love their XJ or MJ.

Hang tight because big big things are in the works for you southern folks. Will know somthing hopfully by the end of the week. Don't want to jinks or spoiled it so just hold off and we will see if great things for the four wheel comunity are in the near future.

Is the CO Chapter buying PMI? That would be sweet. Im anxious to know now.

Anyone still up for the 22nd though? Like to get out Pew-Blow for a couple of hours.

I'm all for meet and greets, but this is a VERY busy time of year.

Who knows, maybe I'll have all the Christmas stuff done by the 22nd.

XJ owners topless bar? Free day old bread for the mechanically deficient? Extra broth on fridays at the soup kitchen?

I'm heading (driving my rig) to Wisconsin for Christmas with the in-laws , returning via Wichita.I'll be gone from Dec.19-30. A 2000+ mile road trip in Dec. , but got to keep the Mrs. happy.

I did get to put a brand new set of Mikcey Thompson Baja MTZs on the rig for the trip.:D

I'm taking my usual route- across Nebraska, 2/3 of Iowa, then hanging a left at Iowa city and on up through Cedar Rapids and Dubuque then crossing the river into Wisconsin.Usually takes about 17 hours.:wow:

I've got a bunch of SD cards loaded with music and Sirius so I'm set music-wise.:D

[thread hi-jack done]

I'm all up for a meet and greet, official or not. I've met a bunch of people in the 6 months I've been in the area, but would like to meet more people...
It'd be nice to know people well enough to get invited on wheeling trips or just to hang out sometime...

Unfortunately for this first one I'm flying back to CT to spend Christmas with my parents, but if it catches on I'll more than likely be there.
