so anyone interested or willing to kick in on the food portion? i plan on covering what ever isn't.. just trying to lighten the load off me and ted

so far the menu is as follows

carne asada tacos <softshell>
refried beans and cheese
chips and salsa
pico for the tacos

bring your own beverage

this is what we will be eating at the bbq.. what ever is offered to be covered by the thursday prior i will purchase friday.
i will have some bottle waters available but thats is

I never did get a sitter for my son, but I decided to just bring him along. I think (hope) he's old enough now to enjoy some wheelin. I will be there with a toy and will do the trail, but will have to head out immediately after the trail to get to our annual family Christmas party. Steve your doing an excellent job with all the organizing of this event. I know how much time and effort goes into things like this. Good job and I'm really looking forward to a day of wheeling in the WJ.

Brad - thank you for the compliment - we are doing cleghorn for just this reason. young kids can have fun on this trail/road. its easy but has its offshoots to give some harder fun to those who want it... look forward to the run.. i just hope my jeep is done before it :-<

We have an attendance rooster? Are we gonna cook him at the BBQ? :lickout:Sorry, just couldn't resist.

I can only kick in a whopping $5 or so toward food costs, as gas to get up there from San Diego will be ugly. If that hyperactive gas gauge is nice to me, I'll up it to $10, but no promises.

Also, folks, if you can't make the run, but are going (or know someone who's going) to the Chapter party this Saturday at JohnX's in Rancho Cucamonga, I can collect toys there and bring them to the run.

This sounds like an excellent first run for my XJ ('91 limited). I am new to the forum (and XJ's), but not at all new to Jeeps. I grew up in the back seat of a CJ5 and have a '79 CJ5 that I built from the ground up. (Corvette 350/T18/D300, Dana 44's F&R, Custom SOA w/35's, etc, etc)

I picked up the XJ in Oct and have already started gathering parts for a moderate build (to start). The more research I do the more excited I get and could see myself getting carried away. XJ currently has ~4" of lift on 31's. But waiting in garage is a RE 5.5" DB lift and XJ Dana 44 rear. Plan to start is for 33's, 4.56's and E-lockers.

I look forward to meeting you guys at the McDonald's. Let me know if there is anything I can bring to help out.

My XJ was stock and open diff last year and now has some lift and locked.
