Toter home build

drive in and out, climb out of it like I have always done, There is just enough room to stand beside it and walk over the tires

I keep looking at it and I think I might be able to lower the bed a couple more inches, I will see tomorrow before I get to far along with it, I will have to back it up and get the stinger under the rear bed rail and see how much room I have to work with. I just have to make sure I have room for a little bouncing when traveling is all. I could just strap the front down to prevent it also I guess. We will see tomorrow.Got a long day at work today so I won't have time today

From a guy who hauled cars for a living.... Give yourself a little space for the suspension of the buggy to move up and down. Even if you tie it down good it will still move over large bumps.

Yup, after moving back on to the wheel wells I found I have 2 1/2" clearance under the bed frame so I left it where it was. Been making progress this morning, Got all the bed rafters in, still need to put blocking between them at the frame for supporting the plywood for the bed. Also got my whole rear wall in on the garage side with the door opening framed in also. I am gonna use the frame and stuff from the door I got from that motor home I stripped and make it shorter to work for my garage access door. I will get some pics after I down some more coffee and go back out there

todays progress so far

lookin good man.
how are you strapping the heep down in the front? one heavy duty strap in the center?
looks like you're damn near ready to use it.

I don't know about too much weight. He's probably got 6-7 sheets of plywood and 30 or so studs and 4-6 2x6's. He's probably at 1/2 ton (1000 lbs) with appliances. I think he's doing ok weight wise! He can always bob it to lighten up, lol.

considering what it is capable of hauling, I don't think I have anything to worry about, think about it, these were originally used to move an entire house full of furniture and stuff

oh beleive me, I am working away on this, winter is coming and I want to get done before the snow hits. My heart does not do good in cold weather and once it hits, I am stuck indoors. I plan to make a list this morning of exactly what I have left to do and then make a plan on what order I am gonna knock them out in. Obviously the rear upper bunk will be at the top of the list.

Are you insulating the living area, all of it, or none of it?
