Toter home build

Holy derail Batman! Back to the build!

I will post some new pics tomorrow, I finished the inside rear wall and then got sidetracked mowing the yards. Hopefully this is the last time I will have to mow this year. I plan to work on some of the wiring tomorrow. and whatever else I can get done

went out and got my 12 volt wireing for the lights hooked up and working, also ran some of my 110 wire and hooked them up to the point that I can wire them into the breakerbox. then got ambitious and went to work on my garage access door

I plan to do the ladder sort of like they do on boats, more like a steep staircase but moveable. The garage access is mainly just for being able to strap the front of the buggy down. I still have to skin the door with paneling to match. That is the door and frame from the motorhome I had stripped for most of my parts but I cut it down to fit this use instead

plenty of room for a flat screen to the left of the bunk entrance. dont forget the outlet for it! :D
a swing out wall mount like i have in my van would be cool since you can swing it around to see it in the bunk if you wanted as well.

I doubt I will do a flatscreen, when I go anywhere I am usualy out wheelin or socializing around a campfire. I can watch TV at home

Don't mind Dan, he can't go a day without his special movies, that's why he bought his van.

I did one in my trailer. Sear R pointed me to it. It has a mount that you can buy separately. I have one mount in the front, the one seen here, one in the garage area, and one in the baby's room in the house. The main part of the mount stays attached to the TV.

You think on wheelin trips that you will be out and socializing or wheeling, but sometimes the weather just plain sucks. It makes it nice when the weather sucks. Plus we have watched wheelin videos on it as well...and if I can ever get the stupid sat dish to work...

The wife enjoyed it this summer being preggo and not wheelin. TV has built in dvd player.

Do you take the display down when underway? It seems like that's a lot of leverage on that cabinet.

Yes it rides on the dinette going down the road. The way the main mount fits into the wall mount it takes 2 seconds to dismount.

Trekkie!

with this logic, I could make my 1/2 ton Tahoe a 3/4 ton just by changing the tires.

has it crossed your mind that maybe those big dump trucks with the big steer tires have a higher rated axle and springs?

Sure IF your AXLE is rated for it, if, Brakes, springs, registration of gvwr, ect.. for , commercial purposes! That was my point. Ive. Been driving commercialy since I was 18 got my CDL in 1979. I've converted several trucks from over the road to dump and roll off but maybe I don't know what I'm talking about , or his springs are brand new that's why the springs bottom out not the axle or he has bad composite springs.

pretty much same thing i do. i have one mount in the van, one in my bedroom at home. takes 2 seconds to mount. i use it as background noise when i camp in the van, just throw a movie on with the sleep timer set.
figured you'd have macgyver season 1 playing instead of star trek.

Just trying to help out if you were concerned on front weight. I never tried or meant to tell you what you had. So good luck I wish you well. If you do need H rated tires you can find them under the web site you posted theres a couple. One is Toyo M 608 rated at 4900 lbs which is 500 lbs more than your 4400 lbs
