Where were the pumps leaking from? First WJ one I swapped in leaked horribly from the shaft seal, but that may have been my fault when moving the pulley over. Second one is doing great as of right now!

My To-Do list grew a little:

Find 40" tires and wheels
Get my Jeep back from Will that's doing the tube work.
Completely build the 1-tons that I bought
Other things on a list that's a mile long.

Scratch all this... No way I'm even going to try to get all that done before the Crawl.

My ToDo list includes:

Load DD Jeep on trailer behind RV
Pack Clothes
Drive to Kentucky

The connection shaft between the reservoir and the pump. I reinstalled it 3 separate times and with a different o-ring each time and it never stopped. To that end, I did use a junkyard unit, so perhaps that was the issue.

At this point I'm having so many problems with the tow rig. I'm going to have to hold off on a lot of mods for the XJ. I'm just going to have to get it good enough to wheel. And concentrate on the truck and trailer.

The chop part is not the problem. It's tube bending and rebuilding that is.
