THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone know off the top of their head what the length of the rear shock bolts are?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Like 20mm or maybe more, they're some kinda screwy stupid metric

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

IT RUNS!!! :yelclap::yelclap::yelclap:

Now to get the fluids to the right level and take it for a spin

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sweet Ken

My Jeep got it's first dent in years today. Thankfully I closed my vent windows moments earlier or I would be looking for some new glass too :eyes: Also finally got my doors off for the first time this year since I worked on my hinges. My drivers side hinge pin is stuck in the door  it broke out of the door side of the hinge rather than coming out of the body side. This may be a pita to get out, project for tomorrow. Or maybe they will just stay off for a while

And it ends up my buddy's miata needed a clutch master cylinder... took the trans out and replaced slave cyl and pilot/throwout bearings and that was never the problem  though all that stuff did need to be replaced sooner than later anyway so it was worth it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

IT DRIVES!!!

Now for the rest of that damn list of stuff to fix

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Frameside LCA and UCA mounts suck to take off.

Can barely get in there with a 4.5" grinder.

That said, both sides are off and frames are ready for some plates. Gonna start on that first thing in the morning.

Also got my new phone today, HTC EVO 4G.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just got to anchorage. 9pm local time and no sign of getting dark

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just got back from a test drive in the 96, it runs great, better than it has in at least a year. In the end it got a new trans, new radiator (all copper ftw), new upstream o2 sensor, new manifold gasket and less-cracked manifold (would have welded it up but was in too much of a hurry to install a flex joint so it'd just happen again anyways), oil change, coolant flush, etc. If I hadn't been called at noon to go rescue a friend whose 92 xj was overheating, would have been done hours ago. Turns out his battery terminals were next to worthless (I told him this in like february, it took it shutting off on the highway for him to believe me :roflmao:) and the previous owner had heavily rednecked the e-fan system to avoid replacing a fuse. Restored to oem setup and added an override switch since he's moving to dc and he was back in business.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

630 am local time and I'm wide awake

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Damnit, if I wasn't so lazy I'd have milk for this cereal...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Man.

That was a pretty harsh burn

:roflmao:

Mark, need any other parts for the briarwood? I'll see what I have if so.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You'd crash it.
Hahaa

On another note got the 44 in finally along with new rear shocks. Drives like a caddy over bumps now, ken experienced how badly blown my shocks were lol. Also, so much better not having a welded rear.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah that thing rode bad for an xj.

Can't decide whether to finish floors/recovery points on the 96 or get started on the rear receiver and bumper for the mj... and maybe do the 4wd swap on it :eyes:

Where is the depressed smiley when you need it?

In other words, I woke up today with an e-mail from my dad to a beautiful green '99 XJ craigslist add, identical to what mine used to look like minus the tint. We were talking about parting my green one out, and getting this and not lifting it, kind of tempted to have a nice vehicle again.
