just wheel the sh!t outta green jeep, why spend more money on more stuff? run whatcha got and enjoy the piss outta it. you got a DD, why worry about fixing/replacing your current green jeep?

No, I currently don't have a DD, as you said, I crashed it.

What the hell does "just wheel the sh!t outta green jeep" have to do with what I just said? I'm talking about getting a different car, not about wheeling. My comment actually was the exact opposite of what you just said, I was talking about getting rid of my offroad vehicle, and NOT getting another one to take offroad. I've said it so many times, but no one can comprehend it, I don't need to go offroading to survive.

No to be dink but you're talking about parting an offroad XJ to buy another XJ so you dont wheel it when EVERYONE who posts in here wheels. Of course your going to get people who don't like that idea. I personally see what you're trying to say, I have also considered it, but then I realize how much fun I have playing in the woods. You don't have to follow Ross, Colin, Rob, ect and all the lines they take and smash their Jeeps off stuff. Backing out of a line to save yourself some body damage isnt against the rules. If I was in your situation and was considering parting a vehicle I'd put the Briarwood on the block. you have the time and money in the Green Jeep and the Briar is the last one in, first one out IMO.

IIRC it was rotted to shiz over that left side wheelwell on the bed. Looks like they fixed it though. Not to mention it was a lowered 2wd MJ he was trying to sell in a time that not many people actually have money to go buy vehicles.

Mark, I would run what you got. None of the sheetmetal will get you anything in a part out, so beat it up as you see fit till it's time to move to the next. Then wheel that one but don't bounce it off trees... the second one at johnny's place was kinda unavoidable without a winch imo but the first not so much, just don't go for stuff like that in the future.

Fwiw, I have every intention of bouncing my white jeep off every tree that gets in my way, because it is a rotbox and it's going away. Red jeep won't get abused, at least till I screw up and dent it like your green jeep. You're not really the only one here who doesn't like body damage on nice jeeps.

The funny thing is that the only jeep I've actually wheeled in the last year has ten wheels round headlights and no roof. The list of things I need t do to finish white jeep is dwindling though, its time draws near... I'm thinking I will hit a few of those class 6s after we build johnny's shed unless that happens more than 2-3 weeks from now.

Also to hell with this weather, id rather swap a drivetrain in a thunderstorm again than work on my suspension in this heat :flamemad:

Thanks. I may or may not try to make the drive down to NJ to look at that truck. Can't decide if it might be a nightmare money pit or not.

96 has fog lights again, gonna throw the old ones on the mj shortly, soon as it gets a little cooler the welding begins, far too hot to do anything atm, seriously give me a thunderstorm instead

Hey Keith, any chance you want to trade a 231 or two for a full set of bright red non power doors off a 94 with tinted glass? I don't really need more 231s but they are worth about the same and take less space than these damned doors, and I seem to recall you mentioning wanting to make half dooors...

I am looking at a truck a coworker of mine is looking to sell on wednesday. Apparently. Its a blue 94 k2500 but I don't thin k its the heavy duty 8 lug one like the big red sled was. I miss having a truck around

the jobsite location i'm going to be on the next two weeks or so is at the top of a huge hill with a fantastic view. i think i'll really dig it.

i don't think this picture really does it justice, and it was just on the road up to the site. but, i don't mind having this as a view from my "office" at all!

Seriously, I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't just go and buy a whole drivetrain after work. It's quite convenient

yeah i still don't have a washer or dryer at my house because although i've got a hookup, i haven't gotten around to finding something on CL yet, and if i do i'd have to take at least 2 trips in the jeep to pick something up, which is proving to make me just not get something
