THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't know what I want anymore... I think so. I was going to try to make the uppers out of a thinner material to keep weight down, but buying different sizes gets expensive. I'm going to have one hell of a hard time getting the upper link by the starter if I use a 2" OD...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ill be trying some of my leftover 1.75"x.120" dom as an upper, well see how it works. ive got plenty of it already and itll jsut be the same as the rest of the tube work.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, I was thinking of doing that. The only issue there is that the ID is going to be .010 bigger than the tube adapter... It's not a ton, but it might make a difference...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

holy shit, anyone know if it's decent quality?

Ok. I will be needing tube to make my links... I don't know if I'll order the cage material at the same time or not. I probably should. Boy, that one's going to hurt the wallet...
I hate it when that happens... I just ordered $550 worth of parts for the massivemobile this week, and another $1200 in tires (before shipping) is gonna be coming up real soon. I don't even want to add up all the parts orders I've done for it now, it's got to be pushing at least 4 grand maybe 5 :wow:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone have a recommended store/brand that's best for a CPS and/or coil? I'm leaving work now, hoping to get to NAPA in time but if anyone knows that advanced or autozone carry something better please let me know, I will check back on here before I buy  idk if either have something good like autozone carries timkin hubs and advanced has moog TREs

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

don't bother with a coil, try CPS first. Honestly I'd go for one at the dealer, most of the parts stores stock cheap chinese crap... but if you gotta, give it a try.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I want to save weight where I can. Cutting up the unibody is the first step in the right direction :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

8 footers are a bit much, 4 footers are cake. A couple bungee cords to suspend it in approximately the right spot while you cut wire / chain to length are a great thing to have.

EDIT: I predict no one will give Anthony shit about that comment because they don't make xjuggy kits :roflmao:

(if I was gonna do a doubler I'd build it myself too, but I'd do it while running the jeep on a straight 231... hell I have enough 231s on hand to do that actually, if I had any use for a doubler)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

15 minutes and I'm on vacation till 9/10/10 :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The gash in my arm from Ian's MJ gas tank is nearly healed and my headache is gone... I foresee a long weekend of wrenching which begins in a few minutes :repair:

now the only question is, will I get the 96 back together enough to drive EXCEPT for that damn O2 sensor I broke and become impatient enough to pay 30 dollars more for it at autismzone, or will I be patient and wait for my rockauto order to arrive?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Damn, for some reason I wasn't expecting a CPS to cost $70.

Edit: I wish I Could find my good haynes that still has the glossary (think it's in storage with my DMM). Time to go look for the CPS. I have an idea where it is but never had to pull it yet so not exactly sure

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Top of the bellhousing, drivers side.

awesome, thanks. right where I thought it was.

Edit: God damn they had to put that thing in the most inconvenient place possible. off to get some extensions.
