THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've always read/wrote CKS for the crank and CPS for the cam sensors. But a said crank for that reason, when mine went it would fall on it's face and I would lose anything driven off the motor(obv) when I would pull over the motor would turn but not fire. I could wait a little bit and then start back up and drive about 3-5 miles before it did it again.

I H8 you.

So, Friday is trash day. This morning I took the big barrel full of pizza boxes and metal shavings and a bunch of other garage crap, put it out by the road, and they took it all. No bag, nothing. Just bang - right in the truck. I'm likin' that.

Crappiest class of the program starts today for my masters.

Digital Modulation and Coding.

Guarantee I'm going to drop it and take an online class or something next summer.

It builds upon the probabilistic signals class I took first semester which I barely passed.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Another thing... did the rpm gauge drop instantly to 0 or did the engine stop running and rpms followed it down to 0? Instant drop to 0 while still in gear and decelerating points strongly to losing ecu, ecu power, or cps, since the tach signal is generated via the cps and ecu.
I think I mentioned that in my first post but I may have been thinking one thing and typing another at the time :laugh3: Yes I am pretty sure it immediately dropped to 0, which is why in the edit to the first post I mentioned computer/etc as possible culprits. Eventually I became less inclined to believe it was that since it would still spit out codes and everything seemed to function right except it just won't fire up. Still not ruling it out completely but seems more likely to be the CPS since the codes seem to point that way, I got:
12 - Battery or computer recently disconnected
11 - No ignition reference signal detected during cranking OR timing belt skipped one or more teeth; OR loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor.

But sometimes they don't make sense

edit: WHAT? You can now make free phone calls from google mail? Damn you google making a skype account completely unnecessary!

Scott, that's the best 3 line post you've ever made.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Around the middle of next month I should be ordering some goodies for my jeep. Mostly will consist of the not universal 4 link kit and a bunch of t00b.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wish I could take full credit for those 3 lines, but I heard that years ago and was just reminded of it, figured I would share

plus I edited it and made it a 4 line post, so your comment is no longer valid.!.:D.!.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yup. Now I just gotta figure out if I should get one used from bump or just man up and get a new one from advanced (or NAPA if I get out early enough) on the drive home.

isn't it AWESOME?

I'm still used to thinking "crap, this stuff I'm putting in the trash can is gonna fall right through the bottom of a worcester trash bag" because they are so damn flimsy. Then I remember I can just go outside and flip the trash can upside down into the dumpster.

good lord that sounds like WAY too much thinking and math. xxxx that.

Both. new one oges in Jeep, Bump's goes in glove box.
X2, or pick one up from a part-out. CPS failures suck. Oh and the bolts are 11mm fyi.

EDIT: Colin, I bet you can build a temporary wooden shelter for less than that.
