check fuses first
check fuses first
yesDoes it turn over/crank?
already thought of that on the drive, and it's looking like that is a good maybe. Checked the codes when I got home and got 12 11 55, so that def kinda confirms the cps as a solid culpritI'm putting my money on crank pos sensor.
I let it sit for over an hour and it still didn't start, plan on checking again tomorrow. May pick up a coil on the way home as well for the hell of it, been 50k miles and 2 years in storage since it had a tune up, figure why not try that out :gee: My buddy's XJ behaved similarly (almost) when it needed a coil.Check it tomorrow morning. When mine junked on me I could wait 15-20 minutes and it would start back up again.
Doing that when I have lightcheck fuses first
Thanks, I might take you up on that if I get stuck. :thumbup:Scott check the basics and if you need a hand I can swing by. I now know everything about the OBD1 motor, wiring, ignition, fuel, etc. I can even tell you the damn color wire something has and the pin its on in the comp.
for the CPS, check the resistance with a multimeter across B and C. The reading should be open, meaning "0"...if it shows a low resistance it needs to get replaced

The pizza was yummy and beer cold. And I dropped a couple things. but my clocking ring is mondo close to being done. The only thing holding up doubler progress is making the spud shaft. I'll do that when I get back from Alaska.
In order, the to-do list is:
