Don't get me wrong, I love how mine turned out. It was just a lot of work working around the dumb unibody.
^ This.1.sheet metal, lots of new sheetmetal(or just start with new shell)
2.traction bar, traction bars kill axle wrap
3. just do yur floors and get the 3 link done
4.budget, sell the vdub and buy a towrig
Honestly, if I were to go back 3 years I'd probably start over with no XJ at all. Pull the drivetrain and start with nothing but some chalk, a protractor, level, a bender, and tube.either find a nice shell to build on or just start over with a juggy. just keep the firewall and drivetrain and add alot of tube
