Team NAXJA/Petty Cash Racing stock class KOH XJ build

Check out Bailey Coles fairly epic attempt at passing the entire pack, at 5:00. Watch the right corner of the screen.

must have had driving lessons from Cal

Getting back to this question:

We have only ever actually run Racelines on the car. We have a set of Walker Evens for the spare tires, that came off of Sean Rose's 4400 car. To be totally honest, the WE's are so beat up that only one of them will hold air for more than a few days at a time - so they will never be anything other than spares.

Having both wheels side by side though and able to look at them, I would only ever run the Racelines.

:us:

It works really well! We cut one tire (single plug fixed it and has held air for two years now). They grab well, don't roll on themselves when you side hill.

I can't say its the best DOT tire out there, but its the best DOT tire I have ever used.

Thanks for the insight. Trying to avoid a wheel swap if I go from 37s to 35s and I think I may give it a try.

Im about to copy a few things on your jeep (the front end) so I wanted to hear more about the three link. Is the thought the upper mounts are breaking because it binds when it flexes? And that it wont bind as a three link? I assume with only 1 upper it needs to be strong yes?

Can I ask how long your upper arms are compared to the lowers?

Never noticed this question before. We didn't have a 3 link on the car, we had a 4 link. I don't have lengths handy, but it was an off the shelf Full Traction longarm kit.

This kit:

We do have a 3 link under the car now, but I don't have any specs or pictures of it available for you today. I'll get more info for you later.

So the car stopped running at Utah. We had to winch it onto the trailer, and could barely get it to idle moving it around here.

I had an emergency appendectomy this last week, and am unable to do any wrenching myself - so James and Mike Rollins tackled the car while I watched from the sidelines.

Turns out .. we broke the distributor! (CLICK ON THE LINK, ITS A VIDEO)

Runs like a bat out of hell again now. Trans is rebuild with a Transgo shift kit, didn't get to test drive it today (other project had the car blocked in). Maybe will take it for a test run down the street next weekend if I'm feeling better.

On a side note.. I found it really hard to sit on the sideline and watch others work on the car without me today! I can't imagine how difficult its going to be to watch someone else race her, but it looks like James is going to take my seat at the Ultra4 finals in Las Vegas next month while I recover!

Good luck James!

C'mon Richard raced with a broken finger. WUSS.

Good to hear things are getting back together.

Now for that bodywork.

I know you are joking, but a broken finger is nothing compared to three holes into your abdomen. I had it done in 2008 and the recovery was much longer than I was led to believe. ...or I might just be a wuss when it comes to surgeries.

Hope you are feeling better Cal. Don't rush it.

This was my first surgery.

I can tell you I am a wuss when it comes to surgery! :)

My MIL lived with us for three weeks while she recovered from surgery on her abdomen. Believe me I know what the recuperation is all about.

Don't let anybody kid you, each of us is a wuss when it comes to surgery! Get better! I have been lurking and watching this thread... you guys have done an awesome job and built an awesome rig. Congrats!

It isn't the surgeries that bug me--I hate being stuck in hospitals!

Just take care of yourself and get healed up!

I'm not sure how many of you guys are following it, bit the Ultra4 game for Android and IOS will release any time now!
