so why bushings on the uppers and not JJ's?
I personally prefer to never use JJ's, most have too much maintenance for my preference. Why use a JJ when you can use a good rod end? Most do it for less cost, screw less cost. We can't easily use a rod end on the front upper arms without cutting off the ends of the Full Traction arms and threading them for a rod end and making a different mount on the axle. We decided to not modify the arms and make the axle accept normal XJ/TJ upper arms not knowing what these parts might ever get used for down the road. So, that meant either use the small 2" size captured JJ that will fit the arms, or use bushings, we chose bushings. A season of racing will tell if we made the right decision.
