T&T Project Low Wagon

Sneak peek (approx. 4" lift)

We've been very impressed with them so we're once again going with ORO's SwayLok to handle swaybar duties in the front. To keep it out of harms way our bumper mounts were modified to act as the mounting point for the swaybar tube.

The front crossmember had to be notched but once the swaybar tube is installed it will weld to the bumper mounts as well as the crossmember.

The updates have been slow as we're busy spring cleaning for our Grand Re-Opening Saturday. I did manage to get the underhood components mounted up.

As you can see, the winch controller, ARB compressor, computer and even the new washer fluid bottle fit nicely.

We've yet to complete the hold-down but as mentioned before the battery will sit on its side.

I'm a big fan of those innerfender panels, and I'll be keeping an eye out to see what the pricing is like. Nice project

I love this build. I need a daily driver so i won't have to rely on my jeep to get to work.

With the bigger tires going in we decided that the front unibody rail could use some extra beefing so an extension to our chassis stiffeners was added to both sides. Yes, we will be offering these as well so stay tuned for pricing on both these and the inner fender panel.

In addition to the above getting done yesterday, we finished running the brakelines on the rear axle, hooked up the front ones, installed the fenders and grill to see how much more of the body will have to die, tightened up all the suspension and.....

...........added some axle bling :D

Any particular reason you only went that far with the front rail reinforcement?

the wrap around bottom is very nice, a stiffener on only one plane doenst do nearly as much good as what you have started to design. something like a full front stiffy with the wrap around bottom would be awesome!!! It would probably be a huge PITA though to contour to all the different shapes and bends.

If anything you could have stopped the underside where it is and still continue the side piece like TMR has done.

Looks awesome!

Just because it can be done doesn't mean it needs to be done. The area in blue (the area we stiffened up) is where XJ's start to fail and show signs of stress cracking after hard use. The area in red is already gaining additional strength from the shock mount tower and the coil mount. We've actually ran this same setup on another Cherokee and have yet to see any signs of failure. We're planning on wheeling this rig pretty hard so we'll let you know how it goes :).

Ive yet to see any issues in the blue area in any XJ ive wheeled or seen wheeled, but ive seen plenty fail in the red area. Bent upper coils mounts and better upper shocks are becoming more common, plating there would seem more benefically. While not as big of a factor on the PS, the DS sure could use more plating in the red area, think trackbar mount. Also, what about the area in front of the red? Plating there is probably the most important section on the front framerails.

Yeaaaaa, I'm pretty sure you've got that backwards. The red area is what fails, not the blue.

I can't say that we've ever seen any cracking in the red area or the failure you mentioned but thank you for your input.

Now back to the build.....

We're planning on have the rig somewhat driveable by this weekend so we should have some pics sitting at ride height as well as some finished pics of the front swaybar setup up soon. Plus we have a few changes when it comes to the front bumper, maybe something of the aluminum flavor....

Just a heads up... from the latest picture, near the bottom of the blue circle, looks like your trans cooler lines may have been introduced to your upper control arm. I'd keep an eye on that.

Otherwise, looks good!

Nice. Cannot wait for the final pictures.
