Any particular reason you only went that far with the front rail reinforcement?
The wrap around bottom is very nice, a stiffener on only one plane doenst do nearly as much good as what you have started to design. something like a full front stiffy with the wrap around bottom would be awesome!!! It would probably be a huge PITA though to contour to all the different shapes and bends.
Looks awesome!

If anything you could have stopped the underside where it is and still continue the side piece like TMR has done.
The area in blue (the area we stiffened up) is where XJ's start to fail and show signs of stress cracking after hard use. The area in red is already gaining additional strength from the shock mount tower and the coil mount.
Ive yet to see any issues in the blue area in any XJ ive wheeled or seen wheeled, but ive seen plenty fail in the red area. Bent upper coils mounts and better upper shocks are becoming more common, plating there would seem more benefically. While not as big of a factor on the PS, the DS sure could use more plating in the red area, think trackbar mount. Also, what about the area in front of the red? Plating there is probably the most important section on the front framerails.
Yeaaaaa, I'm pretty sure you've got that backwards. The red area is what fails, not the blue.
