That will fit a Wrangler but will not fit ANY XJ of ANY vintage. Cherokee and Wrangler fuel pumps are completely different and not interchangable. The only place I've found a fuel pump for an XJ was from the dealer.

I thought I had to replace mine for my 87' Napa had 2 different models. I don't remember the differences, turned out to be a defective fuel line in the tank about 4" or so cost $.50

thats bizarre, why would they say it fits if it doesn't. I finally did some searching and saw that napa, kraigen and autozone all had pumps available. Although autozone only had one that fits an 87 with a 20 gallon tank, when my tank is smaller than 20...as are all 87 tanks to my knowlage.

sorry about that bogus info... :anon:

Ive never had to change my fuel pump - generally ive been pretty lucky with parts store parts... :callme:

well, except for my clutch kit... :hang:

Directions to the trail head later this week.
Am I missing something, or is it Friday already ?

Right.

Robinhood4x4.com says "Strawberry Creek Trail starts on Highway 50, about 15 miles from Lake Tahoe, and ends up at Caples lake on Highway 88. A good meeting place is the wood bridge about 1/4 mile west of the Strawberry Creek Lodge. The bridge is at "Tract 42.""

That's the way I remember going when I had a stock long MJ with rock rails. It was on the right.

It sounds like Opie and I might be the only ones meeting in West Sac? Apparently Andrey remembers the New Years Eve run fiasco a couples years back. I think we stopped in 4 or 5 places before we got stuck in traffic on the way to the trail. :twak:

I might be out, I just realized tomorrow is my daughter's picture day for T-ball
Maybe I can join in from the 88 side at the Caltrans Station.

I hope you got at least one jeep. If not, I can pick you up, just reply TODAY.

No, I did not remember it, and I do not think this will happen now, it is not winter. Found a picture

I just do not think I can get to Sacramento at 8am. May be I'll camp at the trail, not sure yet.

I like this trail, good challenge for a stocker.

I just don't understand, I've seen vids of people winching through parts of this trail.

Hi,

I really liked the trip. Turned out to be much more interesting than I expected.
Big thanks to everybody who showed up, especially to Opie and Phil for putting this outing together.

Who would have known it is possible to crush a door, flatten a cross member (so that t-case shifting would not work anymore) and break a tie rod end on Strawberry.

Andrey

Damn. Hopefully not all in one Crash Bang Boom

Has the trail changed at all?
Broken parts happen at the big rocks at the beginning on 50 side?

For the Deer Valley/Slickrock I'd like to go by way of Strawberry- Red Lakes to Blue Lakes to hwy4 campground. Start from 50 to get to hwy 4 to kick it off. I'm really trying to make this one, but still have a bit of work to accomplish. Any body want to help?

I had a great time with every one. The first big rock pile dented Andrey up pretty good. Jim broke a tie rod near the middle of the trail after truning back due to the snow pack. The end was most likely weakend on that first rock pile. I opted to bypass and keep my rig straight. Andrey cruched his cross member on "Painted Rock".

I will get some pics up tonight.....
