Just curious as to how you deduced that? I honestly don't know, but with over 10 military installations in the Tidewater area, I was wondering how you figured it was Langley.

I used to be a huge airplane nut.

I used to have all the tail desig's memorized.

FF is a dead giveaway, and easy to remember.

I have a pretty scenic job. Though, there's not a blade of grass in sight, nor is there a view of water (unless it's raining), nor a view of a mountain. See for yourself.

I'm jealous! I'd be afraid to even touch that Enzo, lol

Yeah, you just don't want all the guys from Southern Cal seeing how nice it is up in the San Juans cuz then they'd want to move up there and then it would get crowded. The movie "Escape From L.A." had a lot of truth in it.

I work on Ferrari's, Maserati's and Alfa Romeo's. The occasional Lambo rolls in too along with losts of BMWs, Mercedes, Porsches, etc. But we are officially a Ferrari and Maserati Dealer.

Like all jobs, it's got it's cool and crappy points. Driving the cars is definetely the coolest part of the job. Lack of technical support is the crappiest. Overall though, it's a cool job.

Not me .......I'd be on it like bald on Beezil. Cars like that are meant to be driven.

Damn right. You wouldn't believe the cars we get in with next to zero miles on them. Down stairs in our storage, we have a 01 550 Barchetta (pronounced bar-ke'ta), only like 375 ever made. It has 295 miles on it. Sweet car, I'd drive the piss out of it. Actually, when I drive these cars, I drive them like they are meant to be driven, hard. They get real squirrelly, real quick, and sound sweet wide open. We have a one mile stretch of I-5 on our test drive route, that's the best one mile :D.

We do have a couple customers that take them out on the track. One guy bought a new set of factory rims and tires for his car just for track use. Spent over $8000 on tires and wheels (that's only 1 full set). I have not driven the Enzo. Only one of our guys is trained on it, so on the rare occurrence one comes in (we only have 2 in the area), he gets it. :(

Steve

BTW, if there are any highly trained, extremely careful, completely competent auto technicians out there that might be interested in a job, let me know.
