Show off your garage

Damn....Mohawk huh? You just went all out with that one! I guess you need the extra beef to lift that SMB up though! (I didnt even know you had one...)

Very nice man, enjoy it!

Yep, the SMB empty is over 10,000 lbs, it's a heavy beast!

Just wired in one of the 220 plugs for the welder and have ordered the floor covering. Things are at a hold up until the floors are done.

Thanks,
Fred

Here's mine in the midst of my projects last weekend. It's since been cleaned up quite a bit. Alot of pieces and scraps all over in the picture.

1/2 is drywalled

One half of the new shop is drywalled. I decided to install under the drywall 3/8th plywood up to 8 ft in height all around. This way if I decided to attach something to a wall I always have wood under the drywall.

Taping starts today, mudding tomorrow.

Maybe by Christmas I'll actually have this project done!

Gunna have the floor polished Fred? makes cleanup nice.

Actually, the floor in picture has one coat of industrial two part epoxy. It doesn't look shiny because I had this kind of a problem appear shortly after application.

So I had to hand sand down all the bubble craters, which took a lot of the gloss away.

Once the walls are done I'll go back to finishing the floors.

The "Beast" floats.

I have to admit it was a bit scary lifting such a large vehicle in such a small space the first time. It's didn't help that all the dust from the drywall sanding was still on the ground, but it went up without a hitch.

I'm servicing the trans tomorrow in the am before the guys arrive to continue the final coat of mud.

More interior progress.....

Had a few days I could dedicate to the new shop and added some of the shelfs. A few coats of paint too!

Some very nice setups here.

I started framing mine yesterday. It is 20x30, no room for a lift but will be my office and toy shack.

Great, glad to see someone else taking on a project.

I'm now in my 9th month since I broke ground and I finally, after several mishaps, have the lift side of the shop floor done. I'm really pleased in how it came out. Now all I have to do is get some oily, muddy vehicles on the lift.

There is a real nice shine on it now,(wonder how long it will last?)
