The $4000 total was correct. We raised $1400 with the stickers and the rest was from straight donations in Seth's. Susan told me that $2500 came from the Stanton family and relatives.

My voice was all fawked up that day..... I was drinking lemonade like crazy trying to fix my throat since I knew I was gonna be talking.... but no, during the interview, I was awrite..... the memorial was a whole 'nuther situation though.

I'm not usually a softy but hell....even watching that news footage made my eyes leak a little. It's funny how some issues get to you and others don't.

I never met Seth, I don't even know if I ever talked to him on naxja but when that whole thing went down, I lost it. I mean it bothered me for days and days. We have lost a few here in our own community over in Iraq and sure it gets to you a little but it wasn't even close to the emotions I went through about Seth.

I guess maybe is more then a silly forum site after all huh?

I just got off the phone with KOAA. Copies of the tape are $60!! I may still have it on the DVR, if so I'll try to figure out if I can down load it to a DVD....but don't hold your breath.

My folks advertise with KOAA..... I've asked them to see if they can pull some strings and get a copy for us..... hell, they send my folks on cruises and alaskan vacations all the time.... shouldn't be too much to ask for a copy of that vid.

Any idea on the format they will release it in? Talkin good old VHS or formated like a DVD? If it's formatted DVD I have the ability and would be willing to make some 'backups'. You know in case the original is destroyed in a freak gasoline fighting incident or something.
