Rubicon Trail - June 26 - 30, 2010

I still have a lot...

I have a full chord in my backyard. Not sure where your located and who is closer, me or webdog?

I like the Idea of not bringing too much along. I can bring one of my coolers for food storage. I also have a lil portable grill that i use for cooking carne asada and burgers.

Can we start Ill also be bringing my son and might be bringing my dog as well.

It looks like 96Jeepspeed has volunteered to bring firewood. Julio will bring a large ice chest. I can bring another large icechest. Julio stated he will bring his small bar-b-q. I can bring my coleman camp stove. That should be good enough for our group.

Sure i can brings some wood, But im not going to pay for it, Unless its very litte $.

Where are you located? I have plenty of fire wood. Maybe we can set up a day to meet before the trip to get you the fire wood.

Cant we just gather firewood on the trail? would seem like a good idea. all we need is some saws and maybe a axe. So a stove and a gas grill is what we have. as well as an ice chest. let me check on the capacity of it as im sure its a Hefty size. i would also bring along another cooler for frozen items and such. all we would need is some dry ice. As far as camping gear, im bring in a 3 man tent for me, my son and my dog. Oh and i have a lil snail cargo dealy that goes on top of the XJ. woo hoo!

I know it's generally legal to collect downed wood in the national forest, but I am not sure how much will be available around the trail?

At the least, we'll proabably want to bring some for the first night. I won't be up for collecting wood after driving all day.

Ted, I have access to wood in Scripps Ranch, probably enough to fill your truck.

We are running the whole trail, but we are going to take out time. leaving us time for some hiking and exploring.

When we are on the technical parts someone will be spotting.

What are the specs of your rig?
