Rubicon July 7-10!

OK great. so are on the same page. Good. let us know where its at . if your pinion angle is too good looking, and you're at 4.5 "+ lift, then you possibly have a caster issue. possibly. once you measure and figure it out, adjust your upper arms in equally - one at a time or use a pipe wrench on a floor jack to the axle tube to keep it from rotating up.

Thanks Jon the floor jack/pipe wrench worked great. The rig is sitting at +5* now and seems to be fine but I wont know for sure until I can get it to the Hwy and get it past 60mph.

I put a 45mm socket over the top of the ball joint and used that to find my angle. Both worked great.

Fresh pond gas station on hwy 50 before ice house roadgoing east. Going in Thursday twinhauler, nick, skipper. A few friends maybe friday. 3 rigs will make it a good pace so we can get a great spot at buck island

Hello, Everyone. I am thinking we need a Rubicon trip.YES WE DO! I think After the holiday, would be a good time. Who wants to Wheel RUBICON JULY 7th-July 10th. Thursday-Sunday. Head into Buck island on thursday, and have a free day on friday, or head to a spot on the Rubicon river? Let me know what Everyone thinks?

So, is this what we are still doing this weekend? Are we just setting up one camp and doing trips from there? :dunno: That actually sounds good to me.

As you can tell I am getting a little excited. :yelclap:

As Jon said "Lets Do This." :exclamati

We can have buck island as our basecamp. This is a great spot. Friday day trip down to Rubicon springs should be great!

Genius twinhauler :star:

So to summarize, Thur. wheel in to Bucks Lake and make camp. Fri. do a day run to Rubicon Springs. Sat. free day OR what ever. Sun. wheel out.

Personally, I would like to get on the road early on Sun. :variety:

Does anyone know how long it takes to get from Plaserville to Loon Lake? Take into consideration not a fast driver behind the wheel.

1.5 hours roughly . 45 minutes up ice house. Maybe 30 -45 mins to ice house from pville

Got my new shackles on last night and another 2 tie down spots on cage. Bringing 4 man raft for some floating on buck island lake. Crashing out tonight in pollack pines then leave there about 9am Thursday for the trail head.
Meeting everyone at loon lake spillway/trailhead 1045am. Gonna be a good trip

Have fun guys !

I will be leaving here about 6 am tomorrow and will be at the Loon Lake spillway 10:45 am. See you all there.

I was too busy holding on for dear life but John and Karen got some. And John's friend Nick and son Jack took some video too. :eyes:

We had an amazing time all in all wheeling with thous guys. They were a lot of fun to be wheel and camp with and we will remember and talk about this trip for a long time to come. :rof:

How lucky are we to have this trail so close? It pisses me off when I see where people have disrespected it. :thumbdn::bawl::cry::banghead:

Wheres the pics?

Great trip, we made it just in time to get great camp spot on Thursday afternoon. All 3 rigs did great with no issues. Boated on buck island saturday. Great people. Pics will be posted tonight

This is from the island of Buck looking east.... What a great lake to get the raft on and check out the falls from rock bound lake flowing into buck island lake.
