Rig readyness for Harlan

I need to get the jeep running better, still having issues with the supercharger...
And I need to swap out the front axle shafts...

There are a few other things I'd like to do though...

Got the rear spring pack together. Looks kinda funny atm. Got to reinsstall the rear bumper and install my tierod. Then its test time!

Got my front bumper painted and ready to install.Waiting on JCR to ship the rear bumper, tie-ins and steering box spacer. Then its just a matter of trying to save up enough money to come to the crawl.

head rebuild round 2 started today... pulled a good looking head out of a 94 grand at PAP today took it back to the machine shop to hopefully end up with an uncracked head for the new motor

Just a few thing to be done:
Install on board air system
remove the rest of the AC components
double check timing chain...I think it's off and I'm too advanced
mount fire extinguishers
install front locker
install 297 shafts
fresh Mobil 1 synthetic oil change
possible mechanical fan delete with taurus fan
install sliders

Cool thing is I have all the stuff already except the fan and oil......just need to get off my butt and install all of it.

Forgot something till I tripped over it a minute ago, need to install the Tera 2WD low kit as well.

Well, looks like a motor swap possibly got added to my list of things to do today.

Current powerplant in worse shape then thought? Looking for a longer tierod... mine got cut an inch short or the tre's are each .5" shorter then I thought.... ordered some longer ones today so that I can at least use this piece of tube if I cannot find a replacement fast. Also have to figure out the box leak I thought I had straight. wheeling on the 15th is looking less and less likely.... grrr!

My bumpers need to go on and just got word that I will be going back to work next week! So if I can swing some overtime in the next few weeks I will take a couple vacation days and come down!

Well:

TNT Long arms DONE
Longer brake lines
Longer shocks DONE
Taller coils DONE
Extended shackles DONE
Traction bar
1/4 Guards
35's & beadlocks
BPE's
New track bar & Bracket DONE
CB install
Radio Install & New speakers (long drive to Harlan on 35's & beadlocks)
Track bar brace
Mini Skids on D30 DONE

That should be most of it.

Good day yesterday!!!

Well done!

My list is considerably longer and less crossed off.:(

Don't feel bad Tim, I haven't even fixed my floor yet.

We can sit and watch everyone wheel.....that would be great fun. :greensmok

Good day yesterday!!!

...and you didn't even say Hi to me :(

...after driving past me TWICE!

I have stuff to do on the Willys... mainly get it "tuned" so it knows what boost is, so its driveable/wheelable :)
...and i can hopefully take care of that now, as i paid of my Credit card today
...so i can spend more on it, :shhh:

anybody wanna have a jeep work day at Ed's for Memorial Day weekend? :rof:

Bumpers and gas tank skid are on! All thats left is the front skid and running bolts through the frame for my JCR gas tank skid. Only half of the Nutserts worked for me! Just a matter of saving up a couple hundred for the trip!

Right now Im not sure that the Buggy is going to make it. Unfortunately, there's a pretty good chance that the ORIs wont be ready for my rig. Thanks for the 4 month lead time ORI... why don't you hire some freaking people if you keep getting further and further behind. I do need to be there, so most likely if I go I will be in the damn ranger again. Im so tired of building bad ass rigs for everybody else and not being able to do anything with my own stuff. Bad thing is, even the ranger needs some work before it's ready. I changed the T-case shift motor this morning with one I got from the junk yard but it only halfway fixed my problem. It will now shift into 4x4 but not low range. Oh, and my rear ARB seals are toast, so they need replacing too. Oh well, guess theres always next year (remember I said that LAST year when my jeep wasn't able to make it).
