Well, yeah, he IS going to increase income tax, BUT for people making 250K+ more a year. He's actually going to DECREASE income tax for everyone else making less.

In fact, the tax break he is going to give the middle class is more of a break then McCain's proposed taxes.

So 95 percent of all Americans are going to get tax cuts (including those who didn't even pay taxes which equals welfare). Where's the extra money going to come from? From the 5% percent of the population that he is going to tax more? The 5% that already pays well over what everyone else does?

Assuming that those numbers would actually even out (they wouldn't) and everybody would be happy with this new redistribution (they wouldn't), who's going to pay for the proposed $1 trillion in new spending in programs? Are we going to have a f'ing bake sale? Oh yeah, didn't he claim he was going to take care of our deficit too?

So to recap, he is going to lower taxes for 95% of all Americans (including giving more free money to those who never paid taxes in the name of "refunds"), he is going to introduce and pay for $1,000,000,000,000 in new social and third world outreach programs, and he's going to start working on eradicating the national deficit.

Thats going to be quite a rabbit he pulls out of his hat. People need to realize it won't happen and pull their heads out of their asses. He will let Bush tax cuts that rich folks as well as you and I utilize expire. He will raise taxes on middle class. He will institute newer and higher taxes on capital gains, home sales, estates, etc.. He will put a tax on those evil oil companies who will in turn pass on the price to the consumer. He will raise taxes on American businesses, who already have higher taxes than in any other country in the world, and they will be forced to cut, move, or close.

I don't think it's BS. I was just saying if it turned out it was BS, then there's nothing you can do about that. I was trying to figure out why he thought Obama was raising taxes like he said he was going to.

Sorry, I don't fall under this category. I did go to school, I like my job, I get paid pretty well, I'm not going to loose my job (I know it's hard to believe, but it's true).

I just don't make a quarter of a million dollars or more. Those are the people who are going to get there taxes increases under his plan. That's fine by me. Sorry people, I consider that rich. And if the government wants to take some of the rich peoples money to help everyone out, fine by me! I know the rich people probably don't think it's fair, but I'll never be rich, and that's fine by me right now.

Let me preface this simply, I own a business and employ more than a few people.

If Obama is elected and:

Raises taxes on my business, I will employ much fewer people. That is right, I'll cut jobs to cover the increased taxes meaning more middle income people out of work. I pay more than my fair share of taxes as it is, I will pay no more. Remember, every time you pay income taxes out of your paycheck, I have to match that amount.... every single time. I'm taxed on all of the equipment I own ANNUALLY even though I paid sales tax on that item and I've had it for over 13 years. Corp fees, fuel taxes, sales tax... I could go on and on. If I were to pay less in taxes I could then run a more profitable business and employ more people AND positively affect other companies and individual vendors as I would have money to spend for items like office cleaning, fleet maintainence, cardboard vendors... all things I've cut out in recent weeks.

Decides that I need to contribute to some sort of socialized medicine, I'll dump the 100% coverage I give my employees of PPO Blue Cross insurance with dental and vision and make them take the gov't coverage that I will have to pay for (HMO on the standards of Kaiser).

If my taxes were less my contribution to the bettering economy would be substantially more than if not. This not only includes my employees, it also includes all of the vendors that I support, which ranges in the triple digit number.

While I hate them both, I hate the lower tax guy the least.
