Red/Coyote Lake on Sat the 11th

I'm still waiting for my bed time story...:rattle:

I apologize for those who may have tried to meet me and Neil at the Market, but I had a problem this morning on the way out. Driving down 168 with a huge cloud of white smoke coming from behind my jeep.

I tried to change my rear seal yesterday, the rear part of the oil pan gasket broke durring installation. I didn't find this out until I actually got on the freeway this morning.

Needless to say, I stopped at my Dad's and with Neil's help got the oil pan gasket fixed. I still have a leak at the oil filter flange, does anyone know if there is a gasket for it?

Been there, done that with the big cloud of smoke behind the Jeep. Blew out the front trans seal on my aw4 2 times this year. Sucks big time.

There are o-rings that seal the oil filter adapter housing. Most adapters come loose with a t60 torx bit. Not much room to work in the area, but it can be done.

Chuck, are you talking about where the filter flange mates with the block? If that's where your leak is just remove an old gasket from an oil filter and use it between the flange and the block. It's a little thicker than the original stuff but last longer and seals great. Best of all it's really cheap!!
